Each StrawHat somehow connected to Gol D. Roger? "Another theory"

From what I've been gathering I've noticed that most members of the Strawhats may have some sort of connection to the crew of or to Gol D. Roger himself.

Luffy: Maybe a family connection and also the "Will of 'D' "

Nami: Can't think of one for her but it may be explained later. Maybe she was the daughter of his navigator.

Zoro: Can't think of one for Zoro either.

Sanji: Zeff may have been the cook on Roger's ship

Usopp: There is none I can think of for him either. Well his dad we know is Yasopp and his mother we know passed away. Maybe Usopp is related to Silver-Silver the famous gunner Roger fought.

Chopper: Maybe Dr. Kureha was the Doctor abord the 'Oro Jackson' (Read that here in a few threads also)

Robin: I also read a theory (maybe not I skipped her flashback then read over it really fast) stating that Nico Oliva (Robin's mother) was the Archeologist aboard the 'Oro Jackson'. There is also people who believe the 2 may be related.

And my choice for their new nakama falls into this.

Franky: His teacher Tom BUILT the 'Oro Jackson'.

No offense but it looks like even you don't have a theory of how they can be connected. Apart from the oliva thing and kurenai.

really there is only posibility of chopper/robin/luffy. zeff was captain of his own crew..

Zeff was captain of his own crew several years after Roger's death…still, i don't see reasons enough to think they're related.

I did state that i did read it somewhere. maybe I'm jsut jumpig the gun and hoping to much aboutthe possibility that they are a new incarnation of Gol D. Rogers crew. But we can't really prove or disprove anything until we find out more about Roger.

Zoro although technically isn't related to Mihawk, but speculation that Mihawk might be Roger's swordsman would have "linked" Zoro to Roger…. or something like that.....

Random thought but what would happen if Shanks and Buggy were part of Roger's crew than Whitebeard? They could still know Whitebeard and that could explain how Buggy "met" Whitebeard on the Grand Line, but Shanks knew him well enough to call him old geezer since Buggy left the crew right after he ate the devil's fruit.

Luffy: He's luffy. No explanation needed.

Zoro: Nothing but I think there is an inportant part of his past we havn't seen.

Nami: connected to Arlong which was connected to Jinbei. Though she probaley had no connection to Jinbei.

Ussop: Yassop is a red-hair. And might've have known Roger.

Sanji: Zeff MAY have been Rogers cook. but I believe Zeff is big enoughf

Chopper: Whitch-Doctor seemed to know a lot about Roger and the will of D.

Robin: I shouldn't have to say thi.s Shame if you don't know.

FRANKY: Yes I know he hasn't joined. but leet's be real here. and the reason is the blueprints.**

I'm pretty sure i recall that bar-keeper saying that all of Roger's crew is dead. I just don't see how Shanks or Buggy were ever in his crew, if they had been, they'd be executed. Anything linked to Roger means you are a criminal. Like Tom because he built his ship.

Hmmm….. A while back i read a topic, that I don't remember what it was, but there were some speak aobut Shanks, Buggy, roger relations. If I remember uit right it said that before Shanks and Buggy got their own "groups" they were in the same ship, that POSSIBLY were either Gol D. Rogers, OR Whitebeards. But a certain conection with Shanks and Buggy to Roger could be there. Thus that would link Usopp to Shanks' crew, and all the way to Roger. Tough that might be too far away to actualy link the them to each other.

Now I'm gonna put down my own toughts.

Luffy - the D, but way I see there are still other relations aswell, for example trough Shanks, like in Usopp's care.

Zoro - Only thing that "links" Zoro to Roger is trough Mihawk. no other relations known... yet?

Nami - A possibility for Belemere to be linked to Roger, or maybe the happenings on Ohara? (Just a guess tough), or maybe the mother of hers, that is unknown?

Usopp - Well, look up to the toughts I told already above. (Usopp - Yasopp - Shanks - Roger (OR - Whitebeard - Roger)

Sanji - Zeff is possibly the link, maybe he was a cook on Roger, or even Whitebeards ship...?

Chopper - Fake Dr. Hiruluk (Miss Spelled probably) might be more closer guess than Dr. Kureha. But might even be that she is the link. Like Octogon above said she knows some, or alot aobut "The Will of D".

Robin - Well, she met Saulo D. when she was small, so that most likely links her to Roger. Maybe there might be some connection between her mother and Roger. Tough unlike. Or maybe not, whe kows how to read the "true history text", like her mother. Those might have a link to Roger aswell.

Franky (IF JOINS) - If you can't tell the link, then go and read Franky's history in the manga. But to make sure everyone notices. Franky - Tom - 'Oro Jackson' - Roger ^^

Thats all... oh yeah, about Vivi, she doesn't have any "links" to Roger. That was a bit offtopic, maybe, so ignore if you don't car, thats all ^^

You mean in Logue Town? I jsut watched that episode bout an hour ago and I'm sure he said disbanded. But the link to Roger being a criminal is true.

One of you in other topic said that dosen’t matter where someone came from or what are his origins in One Piece. Everybody can became what they want (that sort of) and that is great in One Piece. So I don't Think that being relatet to somebody important is necessary.

Your english is fine. And Welcome. I apologize I didn't mean that they ahd to be connected I just thought that they might be connected.

Oh and I'm saying this to everyone. This theory is a bunch of theories. Not my own for the record. Most of it I read here. I know a lot of people don't believe it and some hate the idea. I just like to look for neat ulterior motives.

Buggy isn't exactly one to keep quiet about something - if he was on Roger's crew at one point, he would brag about it non-stop.

Well, he never bragged about knowing Shanks. who knows maybe something unfavorable happened between im and roger. Or Maybe he does brag and just didn't see it yet.. Of course he could have had been in WB's crew or some other guy.

I like this theory as well that ths SH pirates somehow are similar to Roger's crew. The will of the D seems to influence a lot of events on OP and I would not be surprised to discover more connexions between current characters as well as links to past ones. Fate and destiny are common notions in manga universe and one piece is no different (though much better than a lot!!)

We still know next to nothing about too much people not to find out some relations. The role of a lot of players remains quite uncertain yet, especially for Shanks whose possible meeting with Whitebeard could give us a lot of valuable information (or so I wish). I think though that Shanks and Whitebeard somehow want to protect the Ds as Whitebeard enrolled two of them (before Blackbeard's departure) and Shanks to care of Luffy by regularly visiting him on his island.

As for Nami I like to think that she's sommehow related to rebels (one of them has to be right?) but instead of looking for this relation by Bellemere, I would rather think of her natural parents.

Anyhow I find it quite strange that all of the crew are some kind of orphans. I mean sure it helps having no family when it come to decide sailing the most dangerous ocean as a pirate but still. I have of course no evidence whatsover to think of this, but maybe they all were some kind of chosen kids hidden from the WG by the pirates in order to be able to save the world when they'd be grown up. Or maybe I should just quit smoking ;) : you tell me!

Actually, Buggy hates Shanks, he said it himself during his first meeting with Luffy….... I doubt anyone will brag about what he hates.....

I agree though, that if Buggy was on Roger's crew, he would have been bragging about it non-stop and he would also would have not feared Whitebeard when Ace got on board his ship........
