lol this discussion reminds me so much of flame of recca(like the blood logia,gravity logia,paper logia)although in flame of recca they are weapons not like devil fruits which are eaten by the users.and the powers are quite different from devil fruit powers in one piece world,although i would love it if oda made a blood and gravity logia!
btw,there is a distinct difference in intonation in the japanese and chinese language.in japanese its onli high and low(someone correct me if i'm wrong
),whereas in chinese there are 5 different ways u can vary a word by putting these on top of the vowel in a word : - / V \ or just nothing.
and also,my fren said the japanese uses varying intonation to change sentence into questions,or express emotions and feelings.something he calls language nuances.so yeah,its quite wrong to say there's no intonation in the japanese language,in fact its quite important i think.am i right rs?

in the case like (Paper: (low)ka(hi)mi, God: (hi)ka(low)mi) it does but if it is spoken with a tone with the intention of creating a certain effect then i guess its not.
1 interesting jap word i love is kani nabe (which means crab pot or sth).but in hokkien,a chinese dialect,it means f*** ur mother.quite interesting how an innocent word in a language can tranform into a vulgarity in another.haha
back to topic,didnt mr.1 had a metal logia or sth similar?lol dont think oda would make a magneto/T-1000-style metal logia,would be so unoriginal of him.i'd rather see some seemingly useless object/element that oda can transform into a bad-ass devil fruit.
