TMNT the 3-d movie!
-
Might go see it.
-
That has potential to be badass. Unfortunately, it will come up short.
-
@The:

I 110% agree with you on that statement Dude. This movie has a good dark feel to it, but I just can't grasp the look of the turtles. They look weird, alittle bit too real looking. At least the darkness theme is still being kept in. None of the animated shows really could capture the same darkness of the original movie or comic books. Hell I just hope that the voices of the turtles are ok voice actors.
-
IIRC, there were a few movies of TMNT with real people playing in it. The movies have been around since the '80s. I wasn't born since then. :p I saw them at a few video stores.
-
We know those movies kicked ass. Movie #2 was my favorite, though there is another for this. Not this movie though
Looks ok. I am not really excited. Same with transformers
-
very nice looking - I hope very much that it doesn't suck
-

why does this statement just make me feel old. Although I must say, I kind of want to go back and watch the first movie, which in my opinion was the better of the three. Man I remember being a kid and being sooo fucking hyped for those movies.
-
Awesome! It looks great as does the game! Hopefully there'll be good action figures to go with this.
I'm glad they are at least ignoring the disaster that was TMNT III. I would've prefered to continue off the first film and ignore the sequels but eh, better than nothing.
-
does a happy dance
I'm sooooooo going. Viewing my old childhood cartoon love on the big screen? Heck yeah! I saw the other three movies but none of them in a movie theatre. With any luck, it'll still be in cinemas by the time my one-year anniversary rolls around (my girlfriend and I are both TMNT fans).
Heh. Mikey just had to ruin the whole 'stealth' thing like always XP (I used to be a huge Mikey fan, though now I'm more of a Donnie fan).
-
Their movements looked aquard. It actually reminded me of frogs hopping around. But they've got almost a year to get everything running smoothly. I love nostalga, so I'll go see it even if they don't fix the charicter animation.
-
-
IMO, the overall shape of the turtles looks a bit to cartoon-ish. I realize that they're the same shape as they are in the original comics, but it looks kinda funky in 3-D.
However, this won't stop me from going see it! As a fan of the comics, late 80s cartoon, early 90's live action movies, and 2000's cartoon remake, I can't miss my favorite mean green fighting machienes!
-
The trailer looked ok, I've always been a big fan of the TMNT pretty much since I was born so of course I'm going to see this film. The look of the turtles seems to have gone back to the original which looks good. Bring on March.
-
I'm absolutely refuse to see that movies,
My first reason 4kids is involve and that can't be good.
Second I don't want to ruin any good memory of the TMNT movies I had.
Third a CGI movie of the TMNT is going to be awful.
-
Wait, 4Kids is involved?
-
The trailer wasn't much, a minute of few flat-headed turtles jumping on roofs, buuut I'm saving my opinion untill something real comes out. It could be good.
-
at least they look more teenage than adult-like. I lik the music, but in the end, this won't be the movie we want.
-
@yokaiforte:
Wait, 4Kids is involved?
4Kids are the reason the new series exists. It's the only right thing they've done concerning cartoons, especially since the new series has a fair bit of the comics involved >.> Like it says in 'One Piece of Crap'; "a true to the original Ninja Turtles".
On a side note; the only downside about the trailer is that they look more like frogs than turtles…at least in motion they do.
-
@Takato:

Yes, yes they do. I just hope Master Spliter doesn't look freaky.
-
their leggs look scrawny, maybe it's because the size of their shells.
-
Yeah I'm used to a more bulky ninja. Oh well looks good.
-
Well their look is based off the old comic, but I agree, it does look kind of strange in 3D. Hell, this makes me want to go watch the old movies.
-
@Mr.:
I'm absolutely refuse to see that movies,

I don't see 4Kids logo anywhere in the teaser, nor on the site.
-
The Weinstein Company, IMAGI, and Warner Bros. Pictures are making this. As you can see on the posters.
-
Man, I can't wait to see the movie from what I heard about the movie at toonzone they are going be a lot of villians in the new movie, the movie will be based on the orinigal comic book series and the only villian we know so far is Karai. So we might get a cgi verison of the City at War story arc. Which can be bad ass
-
Can anyone answer a question here? In the old cartoon, Splinter was a human (who was a karate master) that was turned into human-rat by the green thing, but the new cartoon said that he was a rat(pet of a karate master) that was transformed into rat-human.
Which one is the correct one? -
I'm sick of TMNT. Both the new and old cartoons are bad.
-
The new cartoon is based on the orinigal comic book series, which Splinter is a pet rat of Hamtro Yoshi, a karate master, and get turn into a Rat-Human.
-
the newer cartoon follows the comic much closer, splinter was the pet of a Hamato Yoshi who was killed by the shredder, who was after revenge for Yoshi killing his older brother over a woman.
-
Carter, if you don't like it quit whining and go post in the x-men thread. Your always so negative about things, and harsh on others opinions.
Luffink: to add to that; the 80's cartoon was so very wrong. IMO, I like the idea of splinter originally being a rat, but it never made sence how a rat could learn "ninjitsu" like that. But…it's just a comic, so logic doesn't have to apply.
-
As far as Splinter is concerned, I asked the same question on LJ and got the same answers. And I really prefer him being a mutated rat anyway, so it doesn't matter.
^-^ I can't wait for this movie. As a long-time TMNT fan, I'm excited already and it's not even 2007 yet.

Then why the bloody hell are you posting in this topic?
-
Carter, if you don't like it quit whining and go post in the x-men thread. Your always so negative about things, and harsh on others opinions.
I suppose if posting in a thread about something you don't like is a problem, all of the people actively posting in the Naruto thread should stop right away. -
Im gonna go see it. I got that feeling watching the trailer. I still remember watching the first movie like 10 times in the theatre.
-
Well, uh, Splinter's dead…
-
For those Complaining about Splinter…
The Voice actor confirmed for the role recently passed away...

BTW doesn't one of the Turtles sound like Sly/Fly from Futurama? -
I have to admit that looked a bit iffy, but I loved the line at the end:
"It looked like your mom, dude!"
"Yeah… That would make her your mom too, dufus..." -
I don't see 4Kids logo anywhere in the teaser, nor on the site.
I think they're a sponsor, but I'm not sure. I wouldn't be surprised given the 2003 TMNT cartoon's success. Mirage is definitely involved, though.
-
Both the new and old cartoons are bad.
I concur.
It was the shyt when I was in 2nd grade but just watch an episode to see not only how AWFUL the animation is, but how badly the dialogue and scenarios blow. Could we say this is simply because it was a cartoon for children? Hell's no, otherwise Batman: The Animated Series would have rocked my then hairless balls off.
Just imagine, while we were watching TMNT, freaking kids in Japan were watching Goku have his way with Freeza.
-
While I probably couldn't re-watch the old cartoon series without groaning alot, I quite like the new one, mainly because it's closer to the comics. Plus I'm a huge fan of Usagi Yojimbo, and Usagi gets quite a few good cameos…
-
-
the only good thing i've ever seen about TMNT is the friggin' excellent game they made on NES.
-
I'm a big fan of TMNT ever since i was a child and This movie is great and funny and you can't have a TMNT movie without…
! SHREDDER!
-
! I thought they weren't going to use him.
-
I loved the turtles back in the day (I kinda enjoyed the 4kids cartoon too, not the TMNT Future series tho). I'll definitely watch this movie but I don't know what to expect.
I wish they'd do TMNT like it was meant to be shown, cuz I remember reading that Shredder was killed by decapitation (which I didnt' think would ever happen in the TMNT series).
Also, the TMNT Snes game did indeed kick ass.
-
Yes, the TMNT NES and SNES games were the best things about the franchise.
Man, I remember how Chuck E. Cheese had the arcade version of the NES game. Good fucking times.
-

My Chuck E. Cheese had the arcade game as well. I have the rom on my computer now. Man those were good times.
-
Can't wait for this film. (Huge TMNT fanboy).
Man, I remember how Chuck E. Cheese had the arcade version of the NES game. Good fucking times.
I remember that old Mcdonalds sponsored game, try getting permission for them to do that these days, there'd be uproar!
/end memory lane.
