umm… I'm not very sure since I don't talk Japanese, but maybe kuyashii could be translated as 'It's too painful, I can't stand it anymore'?? something like that maybe?? just a sugestion though

Come to think of it, those battleships have huge sails and not to few of them. If they catch fire the marines on board surely would have a hard time to focus on taking that out, not to mention that they lose the windpower for moving forward.

This is not to say that Usopp will hold them off alone but damn, Kabuto could really cause a big headache to the fleet.

Well, I'm glad Usopp found a way to get involved in the battle in a very Usopp way. And having him address the guards is a great way to avoid the "there's no big bodies left to fight" problem. Dozens of standard Marines even with their low individual douriki are a challenge for any of the Strawhats just due to their number.

:cries: But I wanted pathetic little Spandam to win. Of course, I also wanted Arlong to win, Krieg to win, Buggy to win, Smoker to win, and to a lesser degree, Ener to win.

hmm so the bc is coming in from behind the gates i thought they were coming in from the other way from where the strawhats came. so that means the strawhats are going to be able to go back to water 7 and possibly get a ship or go to where ever franky went when he stole the money and i'm guessing the ship is there.

The Marine´s don´t even know what´s going on right now. They are totally shocked because they know they are going to get erased in a couple of minutes when the battleships arrive. They´ve never witnessed a Buster Call, leave alone being targeted by it. Furthermore they´ve never even heard of the Gate of Justice opening all the way. There probably is a reason why the gate never opens all the way. And the logic assumption to it being opened widely is of course the upcoming Buster Call. Nobody would ever think that the gate has been opened because of Spandams big ego because everybody thinks that nobody is stupid enough to open the gate for exactly that purpose.

Note, it has nowhere been said that this is the reason why it is opened. It´s just a interpretation of mine. Of course the gate might have been opened because of the Buster Call too. It´s just that we can´t put too much weight on the words of scared and confused marines who don´t know the reasons for anything that´s going on at Enies Lobby ever since Luffy invaded all by himself.
