As I said in the spoiler thread, its strange to see the most elegant person in OP, Robin, look so pitiful. Like Buccaneer said, its a good thing Oda went there with her character. That Usopp action was just beautiful, finally he's doing some quite meaningful in this arc asides from the superficial stuff he'd been doing since the sea train. Not counting the speach he gave Robin though, I guess.

Thanks for the chapter as usual, Battle Franky.
Somewhere in the back of my head, I knew Franky was going to use that pose to deflect the bullets from Robin in the middle of page eighteen. Does that pose look familiar to anyone else (http://groups.msn.com/onepiecemanga/onepiecechapter05.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=132)??) I feel like Oda is trying to tell us something about Franky, but I am not sure what. It could be some sort of martyr symbolism or it could be the best way to collect all the bullets and keep them from hitting innocent people. It is open to interpretation, I suppose.
As for Sogeking and Spandam, I do not think we have seen the end to either of their bags of tricks. I personally think Nami is stationed somewhere to use her new clima-tact for something. I'm still unsure about how the Franky Family, Galley-La, and the giants are going to escape the island. Furthermore, the Mugiwara crew are pretty far away from one another. How and where are they all going to meet without running into Lucci or a huge pack of marines?
Lastly, Robin has truly adopted the mindset of a Mugiwara pirate. She now trusts in Luffy and the crew to save her (which they more or less do in this chapter). To seal the deal though, Luffy needs to beat Lucci. If he doesn't, Robin's safety is not guaranteed as someone from CP9 would still be able to pursue her. She might attempt to bargain with the government again if she retains those feelings of insecurity. Therefore, Luffy needs to beat Lucci. Whether he can do it with Gear Two is another matter entirely.

Holy crap, what an awesome chapter.
Goddamn, Spandam was dragging Robin around with a rope. God, I love Spandam so much. His facial expressions and rantings are brilliant. And it looks like he isn;t done quite yet, which I'm glad to see.
Sogeking picking off Marines while Franky and Robin run was great, a good use and demonstration of his ability.
MAN, the next chapter should be great! I just hope it can come out as early next week, since I have to go out of town next Thursday..

Although I was somewhat dissapointed in the first half for spending far too much time on making a big deal about Spandam's dad….(because who didn't see that???) the second half was just grand and Franky guarding Robin was just fantastic. The last page was bad-fucking ass and the revelation about the gates being opened that far for something that massive was very nifty.
I really, truly and honestly have NO clue how he intends to handle this. That's when OP is at its best.

i have a new theory about Luffy => Sogeking/Usopp, i now have a feeling that Luffy already knows it's Usopp and will at the end of the arc just nonchalantly say something like "come on Usopp" and then everyone will be like he knew, but it'd make sense, of course he knew, it's his nakama and he's the Captain, who type of captain would he be if he didn't know?
I recommend: Peerless Martial God, Renegade Immortal, Gourmet of Another World, Trash of the Counts Family and The Great Ruler

Where is Nami... the crew is NOT out of the Woods yet, and until Robin gets those cuffs off she is still a prisoner.
Can't wait for the next couple chapters to see whats going to happen!

No they aren't. Sogeking sent them over in that red bag. Hence Sanji's BMF line and Spandam being blown out of the water by hearing that they collected all the keys.
