      hello, i hope i dont disturbe anyone with my question, but i needed some help, and i couldnt figure it out on my own. ^^;;

      i downloaded Ichi the Killer about three days ago and when i started watching it there were no subtitles. when i looked at the other folders that came with the movie there were .srt files in those folders, and these files were the subtitles.(the folders' name was SUB ENG). the problem i am having is, that am i supposed to read the subtitles seperate and watch the movie, or is there something i have to do to put the subtitles in the movie. i mean i assumed there was something else i had to do. i wouldnt think that the author of the torrent would put those .srt files for no reason. heh.

      i hope i wasnt a bother, i just wanted to know if i needed to do something else. thanks for any help.😄

        not sure how to help you out technicly, but have you tried using different media players? I remember FF7 Advent children, that my roomie downloaded, had seperate folders for the subs. I just started playing the movie, and the sub titles were there. Oddly though, I had duplicate sub titles playing? That might have been a codec conflict though.

          just make your subtitle the same name as your movie file and put it in the same folder than the movie file. any player may then play the movie with subtitles. or use bsplayer and load the subtitles.

              The above suggestion should have worked. You should put the subtitle file in the same folder as the movie, and they both should have the same name. It should play automatically once you start the movie in a half decent media player. You may want to try to see if the subtitle file is corrupted. You can find subtitles for just about any movie here:
              http://subtitles.images.o2.cz. Good luck.

                I do that in VLC player, but you have to load the subtitle track in one of the video lines to get it right >.>;… at least that's how I do it.

                  If playing it with windows media player, you might want to install vobsub as well as doing the above (name after movie title and moving it to the same folder).

                  If you don't have vobsub then it's not gonna work, except for some player (BS, Zoom or VLC)
