I got two issues from EGM (free subscription, ~~Wii~~~ wee~), and I noticed something interesting in one of the articles.

Last year, Square Enix teased everyone with what it called the "FFVII PS3 tech demo." Well, what do you know: This test case was really a sneak peek at a next-gen revival of the PS1 role-playing hit.

Yeah, now I'm lost. First it's a tech demo…then the rumors... then the whole Best Buy thing... then the downplay… then I hear about this. Someone have anything to disprove this, or is it for real this time? I don't plan on getting the PS3, so it shouldn't concern me. But hey, why not?

The news in video game magazines are always behind the internet. Since that's the June issue too… I bet that's it.

One thing i did find interesting, is apparently there will be an FF7 Prequel on the PSP starring Zack.

Um….it's false. Square-enix says they aren't planning on remaking it anytime soon. They have might, but for now, "No" is the answer. Just don't listen to the rumors and that downplay has to be false.
