if you think about it the title for 271 is more of an Luffy going berserk Episode neway
Well, I watched the episode, and honestly don't see how anyone could complain much about it, I thought it was great. The Luffy/Blueno scenes, even though they were short, were great and what Blueno says is some of the more ominous dialogue in the series so far.
You might think the Little Garden Flashbacks are excessive, but at this point it's not really a bad idea to remind the audience of what happened in the past. Keep in mind that not everyone who watches One Piece are fanatics like us, some may have even missed Little Garden.
Only think I can't figure out is, why is Usopp hacking and coughing so much? :P He didn't do that in the manga.

Naw… He was coughing because he tried to imitate the laughs of the giants. And it hurt his troat or something. Trick to buy some seconds in the ep.
And those Little Garden recaps are deceiving =( Was expecting to see some Luffy/Blueno, not Dorry/Broggy ^^'

Great episode, really enjoyed it. I noticed all the Little Garden scenes were remade to widescreen, so it's not really recap, more like a new view using newer art. Though short, Luffy/Blueno dialogue and beginning of the fight were very well done, too.

It sounded like they got the same VAs to me.
Im not sure they were remade, but rather looked like they could have been cropped. Without the true HD signal to see, it cant be told which is true. Since the eppisodes obviously arent encoded to HD resolution, you wouldnt notice a differense in clarity between the two.
That reminds me, have you ever concidered releasing true HD resolution versions? Though I can see where the size issue of the eppisodes and Wickio's connection speed may be in the way of that.

I just thought it was because of where he was standing. Giant's breath from three feet away can't be condusive to easy breathing.

I think it was just such an emotional moment, that he started crying and swallowed the wrong way, while trying to laugh like the other giants. He was just too enthusiastic for his own good.

Yeah, that seems likely. I thought it was because the giants had such "large" laughs, that Usopp had to dig deep to imitate them as best he could, to prove himself. This episode was actually really good, the flashbacks definitely added to the episode. Plus it was cool seeing the air slicing attacks again.

The yellow jumpsuit was worn by Bruce Lee in one of his movies. Tarantino was paying homage to him in Kill Bill. it's more likely Oda is a Bruce Lee fan.

Just wanted to come by and say thanks for the ep ! Like everybody said, Luffy Vs Blueno is not quite the right title for this… kinda frustrating, since that fight is one of my faves. Still, that was very enjoyable. Can't wait for 271 !
Ah, just finished watching the ep now… Rather disapointing really... Luffy's rifle on Blueno looked much better in the manga, IMO.
