Next all schools must have padded corners and safety rails in the hallways to prevent falling. Though I don't blame the schools any. They're just covering their asses from bogus lawsuits parents are filing in spades these days.
Its sad that people who keep coming after me lose the things we used to do as kids. My fondest memories were of rough housing on piles of snow in North Dakota playing King of the Hill.

This reminds me of when the partents sued McDonalds for "making" their kids fat. Hello? Who was the one that paid for McDonalds? Who was the one making the money to eat there? Who was the one that allowed the kids to eat at McDonalds?
It's this sort of thing Matt Stone and Trey Parker try to stay away from in South Park, and what they brought up in the Cartman VS. Family Guy episodes. If they disallow one thing, creating a bias, then others will want to ban the things they want and ues the first thing as an excuse!
I never remember getting seriously hurt from playing games like King of the Hill, Dodgeball, or Tag or Soccer. However, I did almost pierce my hand from falling form the monkey bars onto woodchips that replaced gravel because the gravel was "too dangerous." I've got a message to the people that did that (and this…) FUCK YOU!!!
Well, next they'll be banning playground equipment for being hazardous, and then everyone will live in a bubble because everything is "too dangerous." No one will ever have fun, and the kids will eventually rebel against their parents, being angry at all of their incompetence, and then pandemonium.

Since when is kids getting hurt a bad thing? I was a clutz and a half as a kid, and I sustained a ridiculous amount of injuries on the playground. Er… So what? It's a scrape. It's a bruise. It's a cut. It's blood. It's not like these kids are getting compund fractures and piercing thier organs with split bone, right? Kids are supposed to get hurt. It worse when they don't, actually, because then you'll wind up with a Pearl or Helmeppo (I use these examples because I know two kids, one that went in each direction, and I have to tell you it isn't pretty). Parents need to find something better to do than ruin their children's lives - funniest part? These stalker moms that are so obsessed with taking good care of their kids often end up with the most messed-up kids of all.

@ Mr. All Sunday: Since kids will no longer be playing tag, hide and seek will be next. And definitely, the blind-fold version of tag is gone, 'cuz you can easily run into something, and break your nose, like running into a tree (owch).
The list of things that will be banned next
- outdoor iceskating.
- hockey for school students (definitely that).
- monkey bars. Kids with sweaty palms are likely to lose their grip and fall.

I laughed at the part of the article where they said the kids can still play soccer and tag inside with teacher supervision. Don't they have teacher supervision outside on the playground. I remember in my town, there was always a teacher on supervision at recess.
You know, here's a good idea, if it's too dangerous to play outside, lets all sit inside and watch tv all day, and play videogames. (being sarcastic, cause parents usually tell us, to stop watching tv and go play outside)
You know, it doesn't matter what you take away from kids, they will still find the most crazy ways to injure themselves.

I'm not sure if Of Mice and Men was part of it, but Catcher in the Rye was definitely in the Knowledge Masters Open Competition that so many schools enter. There were definitely at least 5 questions involving Catcher in the Rye. I guess more people are gonna dumb down their points thanks to things like that.

Banning books is absolute shit. Censorship is censorship, and if a book was written well, forget what its message is. The point of school is not only to learn mentally, but also socially - by taking away all of these classics we are not only making our children dumb as rocks, we are also neglecting to teach them important lessons about life. These are classics of literature, and just because some soccer mom somewhere has a problem with Holden Caulfield being screwed up in the head (which is a huge part of the book) all of J. D. Salinger's work has to go to waste on these kids? America has officially been ass-fucked by soccer moms and hey, I bet even some dads. When the kids of this generation join the work force in 20 or so years and they don't know anything and people from other countries look at them funny when they can't take a little pain and don't know the difference between a work of Sophocles (because Jocasta stabbed her eyes out, oh no, don't show the kiddies violence!) and a work of Salinger (so what if Holden is a drunk? Nothing good ever happens to him, it's a good lesson) or other bits of information everyone else will know, I will personally urinate on the grave of every soccer mom and pussy parent in America. And possibly shit, too, if I find it within my bowels to do so.

So far Soccer,Football,Tag,Dodgeball,and basketball are banned.Not too sure on basketball but noone ever played it when the other games were banned.I say someones just too lazy to ban certain people from playing those games who cause problems,and im just gonna say this because us kids were pissed off when all that happened.WICHITA SUCKS!

(USA, and Canada) Well maybe the Gov. is trying to brainwash us to be stupid, and this is where all the "soccer moms" come from. Then, when people from other countries, who are smarter, come to our country; They come and say, why the hell are you banning all these fun and harmless games for the kids.

Though you are not so wrong with what you say. Of course not everything is correct what you say (but you know that yourself).
However you are most definitely right that the goverments (to which not only the US government counts) is most definitely trying to brainwash the people stupid. Of course nobody would confess that openely because with that you start riots on the streets etc. so denying it and calling theories like that "bullshit".
But still it is true that goverments are trying to make us stupid, because that way we become an easy to manipulate large mass who doesn´t know what´s right or wrong if it wouldn´t be for the wise goverments.
The reason why goverments have to go these ways is the ugly history of mankind. Such sad developments with the holocaust in WWII show us that you can´t go on dominating the world by openly claming that your goal is to dominate the world. Nowadays you have to always say that you´re fighting a good fight and that everyone who´s not on your sight is an evil being that has formed bonds with Satan. And of course if you´re stupid enough then you´ll believe it and support wrong decisions by the goverment because you lack the intelligence to consturctively doubt a governments motives.
This is not only a problem within the USA, though the USA seems to be to top scorer on that field. The whole world suffers from such a development. And the sad thing is that no matter how much time it takes, it won´t end good for any of us. It´s a sad sad truth.

But I do agree that banning fun little games are stupid. This is political corectness gone amuck. It makes me think of the movie Demolition Man, where the lady says, "Smoking is bad for you, and since the government has decided that everything that is bad for you is illegal, smoking is illegal." She then lists a whole bunch of stupid things like, red meat and bad language.

Man, I am like the worst person alive. I bring back bad memories and worsen everyone's lives. Just today, I went over to a freind's house, and I was talking about Six Flags (to start a conversaton) and somehow my conversation started to embarrass my friend. Talking about him crying when he pooped his pants. Just the other day, I talk about pirates (the movie) and my friend was shivering and was staggering, he has pirate-phobia apparently. I brought REALLY bad memories to him. I think that I SHOULD have drowned in that pool and I SHOULD have been killed by those cars, and maybe I should've just choked on that small piece of popcorn while watching Beauty and the Beast.

Funny that woodchips were mentioned earlier. I once fell off a slide onto woodchips and bloodied up my face pretty badly. Got over it pretty quickly, and it was kinda cool going to school like that (I got so much attention, heh ^_^ ).
