MORE ZOIDBERG!
Nice to see that this show is back. In two years I'll be happy
I'm still not holding my breath. Has anyone put a press release out on it yet?
To quote Comic Book Guy, "There is no emoticon to describe what I'm feeling right now!" (or something like that.) Hopefully, the return of Futurama won't be like the return of Family Guy (where the episode quality goes down after it's brought back).
and in this Corner ZOIDBERG!!!!!!!!
sweet
This is a happy day indeed. What an awesome show! Zoidberg! More Zoidberg! WOOOHOOOOOOOO!
Shit, I don't want to watch it on Comedy Central. I might click to the channel and catch Carlos Mencia or that Drawn Together shitfest by mistake
But I'm waiting for further confirmation.
Whoo hoo.
At least it's not on retarded Fox anymore.
Wow I just recently got into this show, I am definitely hyped up…for 2 years...for more Zoidberg XD
I wish it would be on Adult Swim, since they, you know, made it into a huge success.
Maaaan, fuck. 2008 is too long of a wait.
Oh so we can hear more Waka I MEAN Bender again.
Good for them. I'd much MUCH rather hear that Critic is coming back but whatever, Futurama was cute.
are you being sarcastic, or did you like the critic as well? I had all the episodes on CD's but I think I lost some. I don't have Dukearella any more. cries
oh ya…..futurama...yay.....(the only station I could watch it on was fox...unless global, in canada, gets it back)
are you being sarcastic, or did you like the critic as well?
I freaking loved The Critic (100% serious)
Yay for Futurama!
I have to agree with Carter definitely don't want to have turn to Comedy Central to watch (if Chapelle's Show 3rd season ever comes along I might make an exception.)
To omni: just when I thought sigs couldn't get any more creatative you drop a huge one.
Shit, I don't want to watch it on Comedy Central. I might click to the channel and catch Carlos Mencia or that Drawn Together shitfest by mistake
Ah but you could come across Reno 911, South Park or something from Dane Cook. That would be oh so sweet.
I was never crazy about Reno, but I caught bits of it before and though it was funny.
South Park has lost my interest in recent years (but we've been over that before).
Dane Cook's alright, but there's better standup.
Back when I heard Comedy Central was picking up the rights to the series I didn't care much. I own the entire series and only occasionally watched the reruns on Adult Swim. I'm just glad that we're finally going to get new episodes and a chance to see where the series was heading before Fox killed it off.
Oh and I'm also a fan of The Critic which was another great series that Fox pulled the plug on.
Well, I know Billy West confirmed 4 Futurama movies, but as for this, I'm not sure. Maybe Billy West's website will say something…

Billy jumped the gun on that one. It wasn't true.
Hmm, I tried to search his forum for that topic, but the search is for members only I guess… >.>
@Cap'n:
Billy jumped the gun on that one. It wasn't true.
No, the movies were/are really planned, it was the 26-episode-season he talked about that didn't turn out to be true. And as far as I know, the new season will most likely be the planned movies, just split up into several episodes.
Thank you lord for Futurama!
Geez with Bleach coming I'm gonna be watching way more Adult Swim (even though I watch every night I can already). I'm very happy to hear the return of Futurama; I enjoyed the final episode, but wished it hadn't been cancelled. Can't wait.
That's great but I'm a little concern that with the expanded freedom of cable, I hope the show doesn't turn grotesque like Drawn Together.
ummm it's a FOX animation….so it would more than likely be on a FOX network....that article may not be accurate you know....why would comedy central get a FOX product? fox would only put it on their own channels
comedy central bought the rights to show it on their channel from adult swim beginning 2008
Ok, so when Family Guy came back we saw what butchered up Fox productions can do.
However seeing some excellent shows dubbed/made by CN I can say with virtual hope that the comeback will not suck this time.
What does dissapoint me is that they may not do the movies, which I was really looking foward to, since the plot sounded like it was gonna kick so much ass (SW or some other crap, can't remember exactly).
If.. they did split it up into 13 episodes however.. I dunno it wouldn't be the same, I mean a movie is a movie, but when it comes to shows like Futurama, you can't have a 13 episode coherent story, it just doesn't work. Each episode (or 2 episodes at most) must, must have the ability to stand alone from the rest of the season/series when it comes to shows like futurama.
Well whatever, hopefully hope will be rewarded with an excellent show in 2 years, quite honestly Futurama was the funniest animated show imo.. Family guy was full of dirty comedy which worked in the begining but I just got sick of it. I can watch Futurama with my 7 year old nephews and not feel bad about what they're learning just as I used to watch simpsons back when it was actually good.
I'll put away a bottle of Shampagne for the opening episode.
Three words that describe this: Good news, everybody!
I just hope it doesnt get like family guy and not get AS funny.
Dont get me wrong i love family, but lately they havent been as funny. Ever since episode 13 of season 4
I know in the past I said I was happy with the way Futurama ended (and I still am), but having gotten back into it I'm looking forward to its return.
I describe it best I can in SEVEN words:
MOTHER. FKING. YAY**
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
THE BEST AMERICAN SERIES EVER MADE IS BACK WITH VENGANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More Futurama, nice. :D I have a bad habit of getting totally wasted and sitting up late night and watching comedy DVDs like Futurama, Family Guy, Red Dwarf, Bottom etc. I'm running out of stuff to watch.
Well, I'm glad to see this show back, but on Comedy Central? This worries me, will this affect Futurama's budget? Comedy Central always gave me the impression of cheapness. On the other hand, "Drawn Together" had good animation.
(My excuse: I watched it for Ling-ling. I find subtitle parodies funny.)
Drawn Together was quality.
Drawn Together is crap.
And the news of Comedy Central getting the rights to air Futurama worries me, because it's one of my favorite Adult Swim shows.
