      Whenever Chopper went Monster Point during that flashback he had, Dr. Kureha told him about what he became right? I'm just wondering since if she did tell him about how he turned into a monster, he'd want to figure out exactly what it was.

        I doubt Monster Point will ever be controlled. Oda might leave it as a 'do or die' thing for Chopper. If he's really being overpowered, then he can risk his life by going monster, or be killed by his opponent. If he controlled it, it'd be a setback in his character development, IMO. Chopper needs to become more confident about his abilities and strength, and I think Monster Point is going to be his driving force (the need to never have to rely on it again). And he does know about it…Kureha chewed him out about it.

        Beowulf89's theory is nice, btw.

          I beg to differ, I think Chopper already has absolute confidence in himself. He even said so after his battle at Skypiea. It was not a matter of confidence that he had to use his Monster from. It was because he WAS confident in his own strength that he dared to take his second rumble ball and bet his life to defeat his opponent for the sake of his friends.

            Why beg? I don't mind if you do :P.

            Point noted…scratch out self-confidence issues. So then I say Monster Point will be Chopper's new cause for self-improvement. Hope that bit's ok 😉

              Yeah. Pretty much any Chopper development in the near future will almost certainly have that as a big point.

              @Octogon:

              And how about ussops impact dial? that sure as hell did hurt to luffy.

              To that I say, look when Satori first hit Luffy with impact. It was made clear that it was an internal shock and not like a hit. Which is why people also felt it would be so useful against CP9. That was the only thing I could get out of your argument.

                I read the first page some time ago when that's all there was, and was going to ask about the physical immunity Luffy has having the upper hand in a battle between the two, but didn't post, then came back here at a later time to read that all of page 2 focuses on this…. I really think it's an interesting topic and would be so intriguing to hear what Oda would have to say about it in an SBS, about the pain thing. There's so much weird about having a rubber body that it seems like the nerves and organs would be comprised differently. Wouldn't EVERY single atom inside his body, inside and out, have the PROPERTY of rubber? They obviously can't BE rubber, or the chemical makeup of his body wouldn't add up to create an actual human body. It's kind of like distorting space in my mind, when he gets hit drastically yet immunitively, or stretches. I'm probably missing out on some knowledge, but I definitely think the pain he experiences would be greatly lessened if anything. If it wasn't, I'd think his brain would be overwhelmed with the pain brought on by Dorry stomping on him...that he might even just die right there.

                Now that I think about it, there aren't really too many upgrades to attacks in One Piece. I don't expect to see major upgrades like we've seen recently for a long long while. The jump in villain difficulty was really great this time around, like a bunch of Enels running around (without the impossibility factor of no one being able to touch him) so that every character needs a major improvement. I've come to this thought after thinking about how hard it would be for Oda to continue to upgrade a character like Chopper like this every new arc. He's already got this huge form that definitely won't get any stronger. The only thing that sounds plausible for another upgrade is a totally new item for Chopper to experiment with, or what was already mentioned with the continuous rumble ball usages enabling him to not have to use them anymore.

                Thus concludes my

                  My interpretation of Luffy's abilities, and truly much of the paramecians, is that they are more of the 'idea' of their power than the actual translation. Luffy isn't rubber, he is what we would expect a person made of rubber to be like without thinking on it. Just the idea of it. So yeah, you can't crush him to death and blunt force is mostly useless, it'd maybe knock him out, lightning doesn't work on rubber cause its an insulater. Buggy is the idea of a man who can seperate, so cutting is useless, it just makes more of him, no worries about organs or bloodflow. Mr. 5 can make explosions from any part of his body, but doesn't need to worry about losing his arm from being too close to a fire. Calipha can use her power to clean away strength, which makes a little bit of abstract sense.

                  Or to put it more simply: Devil Fruit is magic.
                  or alternatively: Wizards did it.

                  May you live in interesting times.

                  May you attract the attention of those above you.
