I would really like to see another mini-arc, like back at the beginning of the Grand Line where the crew went to Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island before going to Alabasta. Those three islands were great set-offs for Alabasta, the major arc. I'd like to see more of that. I guess that everything after Alabasta was building up towards Water 7, especially for Robin, but I definitely want to see some smaller arcs leading up to a bigger arc, probably the Don Flamingo arc or the Jinbei arc. I'd prefer the Don Flamingo arc.
Next arc possibilities.

You don't have to worry about having another mini-arc if Oda follows his pattern. There have been 2 mini-arcs since Alabasta; Jaya and Long Ring Long Land. Jaya preceded Skypeia, and LRLL preceded Water 7/Enies Lobby. So we've basically had a mini-arc before each major arc, and the next should also be one.

I´m guessing that from here on, some battles will have combined enemies forces. I see Bartolomew Bear atacking the SH with the help of Admirals or/and others Shitibukais. Doflamingo will probably be the last big enemy that will fight the SH crew alone, with his forces only. And there is this extremely HIGH possibility that the SHs do not defeat all of the Shitibukais/Supreme Admirals, after all they´ve got enemies like Shanks, Dragon and WB/Ace to deal with as well.
But on one thing I agree on previous posts. Very soon we will see the missing Shitibukai seat filled by BB. After that, will be completely crisis and rapid sucession of events leading to the end of the series. That´s mainly because I do not think ODA will put anyone else on another Shitibukai seat if any other Shitibukai meets his destiny by the hands of SH. So, around chapter 650-750, we may already expect a frenetic change of pace similar to W7, that will perdure for at least 200-250 chapters of pure confrotation (if ODA sticks to his 1000 chapters forecast).
What I do not agree is that Ruffy will be fighting BB any soon. That will be probably on the nearing end of the series. BB is much more related to WB, Ace and Shanks than to Ruffy (for now, at least). So I´m guessing that BB will probably defeat Ace, get the seat thanks to puting into Impel Down one of WB´s high comanders and at some point will kill WB himself. Only after that will we see him confronting Ruffy. Wanna know who is the most powerfull of the known Shitibukai as of now in my opinion? Black Beard. Of course, that if he does become one.
Just another info. Black Beard´s name, personality and style is based on ODA´s prefered hystorical pirate, so that is a sign that he will not waste the character so soon, even though it does not validate my theory or proves anything.

I really hope the next big arc is merman island!! And that it is underwater but it has somekind of shield like in SWI with Jar Jar binks hometon, it would be sooooo cool… and I hope the crew will get a flyfishman as their new companion...

What I'd like to see is a mini-arc with a SH going solo for a while.
The most likely candidate is Usopp.
It would chronicle Usopp going to a random island, and he would meet the Blackbeard Crew there. They'll bust into the Cafe with a stack of wanted posters.
One will read: Strawhat Pirates: 200,000,000
The second will read: Monkey D. Luffy: 300,000,000
And the third will read: Soge King: 32,000,000.Van Auger will recognize Usopp (Still in the Sogeking mask) and invite him to a "Friendly Sparring match". Usopp will agree and the two go outside to have a standoff. As they're walking away from each other, Van Auger will make a random comment about Yasopp, and brags about how he easily beat him. This will fuel Usopp's anger, and as they reach opposite ends of the island, Usopp vows to beat Van Auger and restore his father's honor.
The fight will begin and start with Usopp immediately getting shot, cracking his mask. Usopp will retaliate with a fireball that Van Auger dodges. Another shot will crack his mask even more, until it finally shatters. Van Auger, looking through his scope, will be thrown off guard by Usopp's appearance, thinking that it's Yasopp he's fighting. Usopp takes advantage of this and uses Kabuto to defeat Van Auger.

I'd like to see fishman island. With Luffy fighting Jimbei…..Wait, That would mean Luffy would be fighting an ex-member of The Seven Warlords of The Sea.
-
ex-member of The Seven Warlords of The Sea.
He's not a former member of the Seven gods of sea…actually, he's the stronger of them...

Jimbei was the former captain of Arlong's crew.

Same here. I was all set for the Do Flamingo arc after Skypiea, then came everything in the current arc. Leave Jinbei and Fishman Island as well as Elbaf for the 2nd half of the Grand Line. Do Flamingo's already been revealed as well as his goal. He's the most probable antagonist for the next arc.
-
I say they attack the World Government's headquarters in the next arc.

This post is deleted!

I think we'll actually get a Giant Arc next, focusing on Luffys past. And the final boss will be defeated by Gear 3rd, assuming Lucci is defeated by Gear 2nd.
-
Well, there are two thing set up prior to this, either of which could easily segway into the next arc.
There's BLACKBEARD, who's hunting Luffy.
There's DOFLAMINGO, who's thugs we've already tangled with.
Then, of course, there's the FISH MAN ISLAND pssibility, brought up by Oda suddenly having Kokoro be a mermaid and talk about the island.Just thought I'd put all of that out there for people to consider.
-
Speaking for Donflamnigo, where would Bart Bear fall in with these arc? You think that because he was introduced at the same time as Donflamingo that he'l get an arc first, or just be a smaller part of someone else's arc?
-
That's an interesting thought. Can ALL the shichibaki get their own arc? I actually kind of hope so….I was really disappointed when Trigun finished up the remaining gung-ho-guns all in that one big thing on the airship.
-
There was still Chapel and Wolfwood, and the Sniper in the anime. But yes, using 3 at once was a little rushed, although I still thought it worked well.
-
I think he's talking about the manga volume 5, when Midvalley blew up Zazie the Beast (And I still don't understand that part, at all), Midvalley was killed by Hoppered while under Legato's control, Legato reanimated Midvalley's corpse and had it shoot Hoppered, and Hoppered and Wolfwood both shot Legato, as well as Elendira the Crimsonnail impaling him with a giant nail.
Dude, Legato got messed up in the manga. In the anime, he had it easy by having Vash kill him.
-
I say its something with Whitebeard, Shanks, Dragon, or a mixture of the above or a mini arc

I REALLY need to read the manga…

I REALLY need to read the manga…
I never read the manga, I was talking about the anime. And yes, i do know there were a couple surviving after that, and even that set of fights was pretty cool, but…..oh crippity crap, we should be on topic.
Uhm, next arc is Cheeze Island! Why not?
-
next arc, maybe they will finally met Shanks?….it's high time Luffy met up with Shanks......or
suddenly out of no where, Dragon appears in Enies Lobby to save the day again......... which will become another big question mark for everyone.....
-
I may be the only one wanting this but I want to see the return of Kuro of the thousand plans possibly wanting revenge on Luffy and usopp for screwing up his plan to kill Kaya. Could be a mini arc similar to Buggys revenge plot in Louge/Rougetown. Though I will admit theres no chance of it happening.
-
No crew. Butchie and Siam are dead and Jango deserted to the marines. Plus, he's supposed to be dead, remember?
I would like to see a Cover Arc with Foxy and Kuro, though. That would be fun stuff.
-
Truthfully, Dragon could show up in the climax of a few arcs. Let's look at some possibilities…
Enies Lobby: After defeating Lucci (or Lucci somehow surviving the supposed final blow), Dragon jumps in and saves the day, destroying the BC, while assisting the SH in escaping the ruins of EL.
Impel Down: After defeating Lucci, but getting caught by the BC or WG, Luffy and the other SHs attempt to escape the prison. However, since it's made of Seastone (makes sense. If they're at the bottom of the ocean, the pressure would destroy any normal substance), Robin, Luffy, and Chopper are deadweight, forcing the others to pull their own weight. After fighting their way out, they're ambushed by Marines and maybe members of the other CP groups. Dragon shows up, bitch-slaps all the Marines and CP members, and rescues the SHs.
Now as for my idea on Arcs, well Gyojin Island WOULD be a good distraction. Maybe not introduce Jinbei physically, but talk about him quite a bit (he is the strongest Fish-man after all). Possibly discover Arlong's crippled form on Gyojin. More of a relaxation arc than a fighting arc.
DonFlamingo would be interesting to see, possibly explain his powers and such. I doubt his arc would be anything like BW, with a hidden group at his disposal. All he has that's "hidden" is the Bellamy pirates, but we've already seen the demise of Bellamy, so it should be renamed something else.
Not sure why everyone wants to see Kuma. He looks like a peaceful (to an extent) pirate, much like his origin, who was religious not to mention peaceful. But it could explain why he's a Shichibukai, as they don't hand them out out of sympathy.
-
there is a phrase…..... Don't judge a book by it's cover........Kuma might looks like a peaceful pirate.....but he isn't a Shichibukai for nothing......
for all we know, he might have a devastating devil fruit that can take out a whole armada of ships or something like that........
