Yay! What i read of the manga, volumes 1-2, I thought it was ok. Volume 1 was was good but 2 was like WTF?

I kinda envisioned Sven as being voiced by Richard Epcar (Bobobo, Jigen form Lupin III)
As for Train….hmm....Joshua Seth (Hige; Wolf Rain, Tetsuo; Akira) could probably pull it off. Just a thought.

Anyways, I've never read or seen Black Cat before. But, I can guarantee that they'll get Chris Sabat to do at least one voice.

I read about this a while ago, so is this series good? I may give a go (although I already have too much on my plate)
Honestly the manga from what I have read has a lot of cliche in it. It's ok, the trailer made it look really cool, but the manga so far of what I have read (4 volumes) is eh.
The Manga, while cliche, is very good. The Anime just craps on it. It skips so much and changes what it doesn't. Then it even adds filler even though the Manga was already over. I know this may be a little harsh but think Japanese OP into 4Kids dub and you got it.
Yeah seriously, Black Cat deserves a better anime than what it got. For the parts it was actually faithful, it was good, but then it just gives us some enemy of the week bull, and a fake ending.
Also, the English voices suck. All of them. C'mon Funimation, I know you can do better than that. -_-
Is it bad in the not being faithful since? Can the anime still be enjoyable even if the manga is different? I'm one of those people who enjoyed the FMA anime immensely even tho it was way differenct from the manga.

Black Cat is a decent manga, but I heard the anime is way different. Still interested though.

I thought it was pretty good when I read Volume 1, then the whole introduction of chi as a weapon disappointed me greatly.

My complaint is not that they don't sound like the originals (I'm probabally one of the few people who prefers Naruto's dub voice), they just sound bad. I have no clue who it was talking about the Roman numerals engraved in the chest, but his acting and enthusiasm really bites. Flower robe girl (her name escapes me right now) sounds like a valley girl. It just doesn't work at all. The way Train blurts out "I've come to deliver bad luck" is rediculous. It's supposed to be dark and monotonous, not like "HAR HAR I'M GONNA DILIVER BAD LUCK, YESSIREE". >.<

Also, by "supposed to be", I mean how the voice should sound to correctly portray the character, not how close it is to the Japanese voice.

I personally think the FMA anime is one of the best English dubs of all time. I've heard plenty of good things about Black Cat, so I'm giving it a chance. The manga ain't bad at all.
