is it just me or is kaizoku site is down?
Site down?
-
-
Thats odd indeed. It just loads a blank page.
-
-
Yeah, apparently there is a misconfiguration on the server. We tried uploading a completely new HTML file, and then trying to access it, and it returned the same blank page. This tells us that it is a configuration issue, and that the server hasn't been hacked or anything of that sort.
-
Well its all fine now. Been back up for quite awhile.
-
Is it down again? I was just going there to check something.
-
Actually, we just changed DNS hosts, and it'll take a little while before the new IP propogates toy our ISP. The site and forums themselves are still working.
What did you want to check?
-
The file sizes on One Piece Movies 1-5. I still never seen any and I want to and I only got 2.99GB on my computer. I will probably only manage 2 on the computer at once.
-
One of the bots reports these sizes:
[09:44] <k-f|robin>#193 64x [654M] [K-F]One_Piece_Movie_01[0B742D84].avi (Aired between Episodes 016-017)
[09:44] <k-f|robin>#194 60x [635M] [K-F]One_Piece_Movie_02[81032270].avi (Aired between Episodes 060-61)
[09:44] <k-f|robin>#195 43x [ 65M] [K-F]One_Piece_Dance_Carnival[D555436F].avi (Aired with Movie 02)
[09:44] <k-f|robin>#196 64x [601M] [K-F]One_Piece_Movie_03[8540B8A6].avi (Aired between Episodes 102-103)
[09:44] <k-f|robin>#197 46x [ 81M] [K-F]One_Piece_Soccer_King[50459A91].avi (Aired with Movie 03)
[09:44] <k-f|robin>#198 72x [1.3G] [K-F]One_Piece_Movie_04[E2CEF272].avi (Aired between Episodes 146-147)
[09:44] <k-f|robin>#199 76x [917M] [K-F]One_Piece_Movie_05[A265763A].mp4 (Aired between Episodes 183-184)
[09:44] <k-f|robin>#200 55x [ 80M] [K-F]One_Piece_Movie_05[A265763A].mp4 (Aired with Movie 05)Oh, and the tracker should still be up. That hasn't moved, and it reports the file sizes too:
http://tracker.kaizoku-fansubs.com/</k-f|robin></k-f|robin></k-f|robin></k-f|robin></k-f|robin></k-f|robin></k-f|robin></k-f|robin> -
Woah, why is Movie 4 so much larger than the others?
-
We encoded it so that it would fit easily on 2 CDs. The guide for doing so is here: http://giggedygiggedygoo.com/kajzokku/M4Split/m4-split.html

Hmm, in these two days tried to see K-F forums and I couldn't load the site. After have reading the previous posts I noticed that I'm not the only person with this trouble.
Is it still down or is it my computer that can't load it? -
It is currently down. It's getting loaded by bad torrent requests, on a php tracker that doesn't exist.
-
Any word or idea on when the site will be back up?
-
Just be patient, I'm sure someone will mention it when it's back. I check it every day.
-
you know every time KF goes offline I get emails about it…
-
err… why do you get emails about it?
The site right now is down due to complete and total stupidity, but I unfortunately can't take credit for it. It's moving to yet another new, but this time dedicated, host. Hopefully it should be 2 days or less, but I can't make any promises.
-
err… why do you get emails about it?
I have no idea XD I'd like to know this too. They're like "KF is down, what should I do?" and Im like "Wait for it to come back up!"
but uhm yeah… guess my saveonepiece site is more popular than I thought.
-
just in case it matters, I can access tracker.kaizoku-fansubs.com (216.80.7.52) but www.kaizoku-fansubs.com comes back as 127.0.0.1 (which is my local machine) So either someone fk'd the DNS entry or someone else fk'd the DNS entry >.>
I don't know what else it could be…. thats definetely not a .cfg problem since the DNS server returns 127.0.0.1 as the IP for that hostname.
-
That's a countermeasure to DDoS attack. Our site and tracker run(ran) on different boxes, so the tracker was able to stay up without any problems.
The causes of the downtime at present are complete and total stupidity, and time to get a new server set up. I would have to go into a large number of details to fully explain what actually went wrong, but the trigger for it all was someone being stupid and messing with stuff they should not have.
The new server is coming along, but I have no involvement in it whatsoever, so I really couldn't give an estimate yet, until Jakobo tells me something.
-
It looks like the site is back now.
-
No its still down. same page getting loaded "Site Temporarily Unavailable"
-
It's up on the address www2.kaizoku-fansubs.com
That's our old server, at DreamHost. Once our new one is totally up, we'll be able to open the www. domain. -
The site should be working on http://www.kaizoku-fansubs.com again now
