A lonely car sped through the back alley ways of the darkened Gotham city streets. Suddenly the night lit up with fire as the car exploded. On a roof top overlooking the street a smiling Tommy Monaghan, otherwise known as The Hitman, tossed a smoking rocket launcer aside. Lighting up his cigarette he mused "I wonder if that woke anyone up?" he smirked.
Making his way to the street below he pulled out a pistol and advanced on the firey wreckage. Suddenly the door blew off the car in a blaze as the flaming figure of the Resurrection man emerged. Dodging the blazing car door, Tommy pulled himself up and fired off a shot that struck the Resurrection man square in the forehead. "Well that should slow him down, here is where things get interesting" he said to himself taking another drag of his cigarette.
Suddenly the man known as the Resurrection man woke up lying on the pavement looking up at the figure of Tommy Monaghan staring down at him. "What the fuck are you doing, asshole!!!" he shouted.
"Relax bud!! you look fine" he said with a smirk.
Without warning Tommy's gun was ripped out of his hand and sent flying towards the Resurrection man hitting him in the face. "What the hell did you do that for!!" he shouted.
"I didn't do it you did!" Tommy shouted back.
"oh…OH!" he said as he stared at the levitating gun before him. "Well at least I don't have to figure out what power I came back with this time." With a mental flick of his mind he pointed the gun at his assailant "Now do you mind telling me why I shouldn't shoot you?".
"That is a really good question, see I took out a contract to bring you in and if you kill me, well then it's going to make that really hard to do isn't it" Tommy said as he silently reached for something behind his back. Pulling the pin on the grenade had hidden in his jacket, he let it fly towards the now magnetised Resurrection man.
"Oh shit" Resurrection man said as the grenade blew up in his face. After a few seconds he pulled himself back together "OH that is it!!!! I am gonna kick your ass Tommy!!!" he said in a rage.
