I played this game with my friends. The game goes like this, I start the game with saying the name of a country which starts with A, then the person who posts next says a country with B. Let me finish, that is not all, i don't want to start a thread that will have the same end like Picture Battle and etc. After you choose a country you have to talk a little bit about the country, it can be geography, history, culture, music you like that comes form that country etc.
Also no bashing, like that "country sucks", also no political stuff, "i hate that place because their rulers suck… etc" You can use any source of information you want like Wikipedia.
      OK then let's begin

      I start with Azerbaijan.
It's a small country that became independent after the collapse of the Soviet Union, it is mostly populated by muslim Shi'a. It has a booming economy, because of the oil reserves it has. It's neighbours are Georgia and Armenia and Iran.

Bulgaria is a midsized nation in southeastern Europe. It's capital is Sofia, and it borders Greece and the Black Sea. It's climate is temperate with cold moist winters and hot dry summers. It was once part of the Ottoman Empire.

          Canada
Canada became a self-governing dominion in 1867 while retaining ties to the British crown. Economically and technologically the nation has developed in parallel with the US, its neighbor to the south across an unfortified border.

              Ethiopia

50% of its population is Muslim. Was unique because it kept its independence for so long, until it was occupied by Italy in WWII.

If all my talents and powers were taken away from me by some inscrutable Providence, and I had my choice of keeping but one, I would unhesitatingly ask to be allowed to keep the Power of Speaking, for through it, I would quickly recover all the rest.

                France

                Has surrendered to almost everyone.

The borders of modern France are roughly the same as those of ancient Gaul, which was inhabited by Celtic Gauls. Gaul was conquered by Julius Caesar in the 1st century BC, and the Gauls eventually adopted Roman speech (Latin, which evolved into the French language) and Roman culture.

That was something I don't want to see, no bashing.

                  Ok back to the game.

Germany. It is the third biggest economy in the world after Japan and USA. It is number one in exports and is one of the founders of the EU. It is home to 80 million people. It has just elected it's first female chancellor. It's biggest neigbour is France. It was one of the Central Powers in the first world war and one of the Axis Powers in the second world war.

                    Hungary.

In the 1940s, it suffered the world's worst-ever case of runaway inflation. A major city, Budapest, was actually formed as the two cities Buda and Pest grew together. Urban Sprawl, 15th-century style. 🙂

Apparently the country is called 'Magyar' in the native language, presumably to confuse foreign tourists.

                      Iran

My old Subway boss is from there. It borders Iraq. There are lots of muslim people there. The first day of spring is their new year (Norouse) (sp) on this day it is a tradition to give people "new" money. As in newly made bills and coins. I also hear doctors and dentists are cheeper there.

                        Jamaica

A small island nation in the Greater Antilles that my parents visited in the 70's. Jamaica has its share of severe weather which includes hurricanes such as Gilbert in 1988. Also enjoy all of the exotic and delicious foods Jamaica has to offer such as breadfruit and turtle soup.

                          Kenya

This African country has been inhabited by humans and before them proto-humans for up to 2.5 million years. Its main industries are agriculture, tourism, and people who win marathons (ok, not really… but still.) The capital is Nairobi. In the post-colonial era, their first president was Kenyatta; their current president is Kibaki. They are a democracy, and have an extensive national parks system.

                          Kenya believe it?

                            Luxembourg

This landlocked country is smaller than Rhode Island and it is the only country that is currently ruled by a Grand Duke. The capital has the same name as the country. It has the highest GDP (Gross Domestic Product) per capita in the world. One of the official languages there is Luxembourgish.

                              Madagascar.

It is a giant island (2nd biggest in the entire world, next to Greenland) that floats around the southeast coast of the African continent. There was a movie with the same title that came out a year ago, but it was not good. Anyways, the place is known for its lush vegetation and it's Madagascar-y goodness.

What? Failing is hard work, too.
