For me the entire story is really overrated.
All about The Tenth Planet, The Tomb of The Cybermen, The Invasion, Spare Parts, Human Resources, and The Girl Who Never Was for awesome Cyberman stories.
Last time though now - is no one interested in some DVDs being made up with classic style menus (for the most part) for some missing stories that will never be sold as a complete set? I have a few classic style new series ones too.

In other news. Bought the Lite version of Water of Mars and End of Time yesterday. Boxes look absolutely amazing. Although its a gift for a close friend so.
Blu-Ray version of the specials plopped through the letterbox from amazon today tho. While I prefer the look of the Lite versions of the boxes. Still looks awesome! Can't wait to see how different it looks in Blu-Ray (Although I NEED a HDMI cable to get surround sound XD)

Just to voice my opinion, I believe that many peoples' negative first impressions of Doctor #11 are merely backlash from the bitter minds of those who had grown so used to Tennant and his brilliance - I feel this way simply because I was like that until recently - When I did see the trailer! That epic trailer! Smith seems to be (obviously) a lot more action-oriented, but that sits fine with me, as he'll no doubt show his mature, serious side, as always. Amy Pond I have no opinion of at present for obvious reasons, but River Song is returning, which is great, although perhaps too soon… Although, I support simultaneous companions in DW, so that's all the better if it happens.
Also Weeping Angels/Daleks, which = win, as you all know.
And, just for randomness, the Fourth Doctor is my current favourite, with the Tenth/Eighth coming a close second/third respectively.
Finally, do any of you keep up with the Eighth's developing stories? It's getting very interesting, you know, with the whole Time War thing.
Eight's stories? You mean The Big Finish ones? I haven't caught up on them XD I own both Eight Truths and World Wide Web but have yet to listen to them lol. I really should tho.

I was exstatic when I heard Moffat was taking over from RTD (not that RTD was bad, just if anyone's to do it, Moffat's the man) - I was over the moon when i heard Matt Smith would be the Doctor. I had high hopes and confidence and a lucky feeling about the Eleventh Doctor. Then I saw the costume. 26 Year old in Tweed and a bow-tie … whut?
Hmm, I'm gonna enjoy the series though ... It definately seems much more rural than the last 4 series too. Btw, nice to see another Eight Fan, McGann was wonderful !

Indeed, and it fits with the persona the creators are trying to fit the Eleventh Doctor with - Young and energetic, yet with those hints of old age and wisdom about him. It's like Tennant on caffeine, in a way.

Every season, many of the episodes seem to foreshadow what will happen in the final episodes (s)...I'm defo gonna be keeping a close eye on that. River Song...the weeping angels etc. Should be great stuff ahead.
So it looks like Torchwood Season 4 is going to be made in the US with the original production team in tact.
Instead of being a piss-poor, welsh take on The X-Files it's going to be a straight up carbon copy

Im not putting it down. My problem is that its going to be too similar to every other generic American 'sci-fi crime scene' one.
And yeah. I didnt think it was terrible. Still pretty bad tho. I still thought Fear Her was worse than it. (I also quite enjoyed Attack of the Cybermen and Timelash so.)
Attack is definately better than Silver Nemesis. Listening to a lot of Colin Baker's audio at the moment. Probably the most underrated Doctor of the entire lot.
I still go by Love & Monsters or Time and The Rani being the two absoloute worst Doctor Who stories.

I forgot all about Love and Monsters. That was pretty terrible. Even moreso by the inclusion of Peter Kay. The most over-rated person ever.
I pretty much hated all of Vengeance on Varos too. I've never ONCE been able to watch it till the end XD
