OMG i am not a great fan of Eurovision but what happend tonight that just OMG, go Lordi burn everybody.
So is anybody a fan of Finland and Lordi are is everybody just in shock and trauma.

I knew Romania had no chance, we sucked this year, although last year for the first time i loved a Romanian song.
The thing i hate about Eurovision is you can see who gives who point's. You could see Ukraine and Belarusia giving Russia 12 point's from miles way.
My mother hated Lordi, but i wanted them to win, and change this boring competition into something more interesting -

I cant understand why Lituania with their HORRIBLE song and performance managed to even get to the finals, and they got so many points, Eurovision is really going downhill...
but thank god Lordi won, this was Finlands turn.

well, well, they did not win so i dont have to kill myself.The points thing got much worse after they accepted all the new countries into eurovision, cyprus voting for greece and island on denmark i dont care, becouse if the song is crap, they dont give a point larger than 4-7, but all the former Jugoslavian vote 12 on each other even if the song is really crappy and havent got even 1 point from another country, i think that is just sad, they are not mature enough to enter this competition.

I was watching most of it. It was shit as usual. Over here in U.K. we just treat it as a joke, we don't really care if we do shit, just look at our entry. A white middle aged rapper singing about school with teenage girls dancing around him.
All credit to Finland, they tried something different then all those godamm shitty love songs you hear from half the countries…

i think its great that Finland for once didnt have to be the joke of ESC and actualy got to win gratz to our neighbour to the east^^ ,
and its also fucking great for an old favorite like Lordi to get this publicity this is really gonna help them hit it big and establish a big enough fanbase so that they will be able to do a euro or world tour soon with sweden as one of its stop =D.
i also liked Andorras contribution it had a nice melody the same for Ireland and even thought our swedish song was a little bland Carola did an awesome performance as always.
and among those that sucked two of them really stood out and those are Iceland and Lithuanias songi mean that the annoying icelandic bitch Silvia nights needs to commit seppuku now!! that was the worst piece of shit ive ever watched the only thing that even came remotly close to that level of crappyness was lithuanias song that was also pure garbage.

everything about Lordi is great their costumes are cool their lyrics are great and as you said the melody was excellent and the show they put on at the ESC with all that pyrotechic blew all the other outta the water ,
and also i just read that Carola was a sore loser who didnt want to party with the Finnish monsters just cause they bet her:laugh:

OK, since I am the only registered Icelander on APforums (as far as I know at least) I'm gonna explain this Silvia Night situation for you guys :laugh:.
As appearently few of you know, Silvia Night is a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. She is played by an actress who had a show in Iceland called: Silvia Nótt (Nótt translates as Night). The character itself is supposed to be extremely rude, arrogant, childish and stupid. She was sent to Eurovision with that overly violating song to simply make fun of the whole thing.
Agusta Eva Erlendsdottir, Silvia's actress, decided not to show her true identidy in the contest and put on a helluva show there. She had a press conference and she had this whole act put up. She said suddenly in the middle of the conference: ''You stared me in the eye'' with some lady (who was acting) and the bodyguards took her out of the room. :laugh:
Don't poor shit over Silvia. She's already very sad because everyone booed at her at the pre-contest.

I'll bump this just to say yay for us even though I'm truly not a fan of Lordi. But I'm a bit proud. Just a tiny bit. Almost two months without Internet though.. no One Piece, no E3, no porn, no Lost and I missed all the Eurovision hype. Lots of things to catch up. Selpt, if I had voted, I would have voted Silvia Night. Anything that annoys hell ouf of people is good.

Yeah, my sister and I watch it every year and laugh at the stupid entries. We thought Latvia (?) or Lithuania (?) were crap (the really girly guy who did the stupid jump), but I'm glad the Finnish group won. They were different, interesting, and they get credit for singing a song entitled "The Arockalypse."

THey actualy won… woow... I still can't believe that. And now they have even named their home city's park (noy actualy park... i jsut can't remember it) to Lordi Square... And the Gebab Grill they usualy goes, has starten to sell Lordi Gebab... Named after Lordi of course... >.>
