@gallowsx:
well if one thinks correctly usopp feels he's not part of the crew, so a group fight with sanji/zoro could work in a better way to re-integrate him with the crew that a 1v1 fight….
Also i think that usopp's real test will not be in fighting somebody strong, it will be something along the lines of using a weapon that will not only annihilate his opponent, but will seriously hurt usopp himself, or might even kill him hint hint Reject Dial
He already used the impact dial, and that can do really a lot of damage to an opponent, but i don't think its got enough power to KO an opponent of CP9 caliber. I think he'll have to use something more, something like reject... :)
Getting a situation in which usopp has to choose between his life, and the life of one of his nakama (in a situation where his nakama is loosing) i think that is where oda will point at... but well we'll see :)
Um…while it's not 100% impossible that Ussop could convince Wiper to give him his Reject dial, it would kill him. It really would. So far, there's a lot of stress on him while just using the impact dial, while the Reject dial is supposed to kill an average man. It's because of Wiper's strength and endurance that he was able to use it and survive so many times. Really, the impact dial is like a Reject dial for someone of Ussops current strength.
And you're underestimating the power of the impact dial. One or two shots of it knocked Sanji out for a while. No, it may not KO a CP9 but it will without a doubt hurt. Plus, I think it does some sort of "internal damage" judging by how much it hurts Luffy despite being rubber.
And what kind of drama is that? Choosing between his life and his nakamas? He does that everytime he decides not to run away! It's been done.
