I love light's voice. Ryuk should have been voiced by cgi ryuk. His voice was so much creepier and awesome.

And I might as well just say this now, but theres no chance in hell that 4kids would even consider liscensing the show.

Oh I just checked and he does. Though for some reason he doesnt really sound sinster enough like he does in the movie.
also I'd like viz to get death note. I think steve blum would be an awesome light. that or if funimation chuck huber ftw!

- The story proceeds pretty fast.
- The art is amazing.
- Light's voice is a little … :S

My thoughts on the episode:
! -Both the OP and ED are awesome!
-Madhouse really does rule at animation.
-Light's voice isn't what I imagined but it does seem innocent yet menacing to me. I like it.
-Ryuk's voice is just what I imagined.
-I like how they kept the events in order of which they happened moreso than the manga, which had Ryuk show up and then go back to how Light started killing with the DN.
-Interesting how they actually make Shibutaku(the guy on the motorcycle)'s actions more severe then they were in the manga, opposite of what animes usually do. I guess they didn't want to show Light killing someone for mere verbal harrassment.
-I love how they use the DN rules as the eyecatches. Brilliant!
-I love the scene with the dramtic orchestra music as Light goes his "mass writing spree". Very cool and intenese.
-I see they decided to show Ryuk's love for apples right away. i'm glad they added that.
-I was hoping to hear L in this episode, but oh well. Can't wait to hear him and Matsuda in episode 2. -

http://www.toriyamaworld.com/ funny thing is nothing on their site says anything about the scan. Also these guys will probably take the longest out of any of the groups, but it's worth the wait as it'll prolly be the highest quality fansubs. (tho I've seen some good ones from those other groups, mainly Live-eviL)

everything was perfect. the animation was right on, the voices were just like I imagined, the BGM was great. overall, this is looking to be an awesome anime! Can't wait for TW to sink its teeth into this, i want a good quality subbed version!
