Well, I can't say that I'm surprised, but this is actually pretty awesome. I always envisioned the Death Note a few California voices:
Light Yagami – Joshua Seth (Hige; Wolf's Rain)
Ryuk – Steve Blum
L – Yuri Lowenthal (Sasuke; Naruto)
Soichiro Yagami – William Fredrick Knight (Chief Aramaki; GitS: SAC) -
I can't see Ryuk with Steve Blum's voice….some people thought that Light should be Crispin...or however his name is spelled lol.
Also, your forgetting a VA for Misa...lol

I've finally figured out why I can't stand this series aside from L.
it should have ended right after the part with Ray and his Wife because if Light wasn't a bleeding hypocrite he'd have written his name into the book next.

I don't think you completely understand Light's motives then. When he first starts killing people he tells himself it's for making the world a better place. Soon after though, we can see that he really wishes to turn the world into this utopia just because he will be the one responsible for forming it and he likes the sense of power and accomplishment it brings him.

I may not agree with the death penalty but its still law, in some places, so yes I'd expect police officers to follow the law.
and killing innocent people (even if they block your ambition) is still murder.

Taleran, I think its the whole point.
Light thinks he is doing the right thing but he only thinks it, which doesn't make it true. Right now, he only thinks he is right, while anyone who disagrees with him is wrong.

Yes, because we cannot trust someone as resourceful as Light with such power so we must execute him.
And we know all that, I think we would all know just by watching episode 1 of the series.
You don't like the series because you don't like the antagonist and his ideas and think it's some sort of death penalty promotion?
That's like not watching One Piece because you don't like a character, even though he gets what he deserves in a satisfying fulfillment of the karmic cycle.

Death Note starts off good, but Nekogal hates how it ends, It's a shame really, Nekogal think the ending Spoiled the whole series. Nekogal hates it now.

Er, I really don't care for the anime. It suffers too much from "trying-way-too-hard-to-be-cool-to-the-point-where-it's-laughable-itis" in my opinion. Also, I don't like Ryuk's voice. He sounded much better in the movie.

actually, they are only using TW's scripts for this one episode. They will be doing it by themselves on the later coming of the episodes. At least, that's what I read in another post…if I find the conversation, I'll give it to you.

I was watching this series in the beginning, in hopes that my ADD-like attention span would at least allow me to watch the series because i have been meaning to do so for a while. After how ever many episodes have come out, is it a good idea to go back to the anime or should i just stick with the manga?

That's not a photoshop; Sawai actually did a parody chapter of Death Note. Obata also drew all of Bo-bobo's cast in his style.

In the manga, Misa never jumped on Light like that. She just shows up and says hi just as he was thinking he shouldn't be seen with her, then he has the line where he says this is the first time he's ever wanted to punch a girl.

Death God Fansubs, because rumor has it that they are Toriyama's World under a different name and a new translator(the old one works for Viz).

If you don't mind slightly lower sub quality, go with animenoobs. They're speedsubbers and they're the only ones with episode 15 out at the moment.
