I personally H A T E spoilers myself, but on this board if there's a topic about something assume people are gonna let loose with spoilers without bothering to put them in tags. No one really enforces spoiler tags in this section, so you are just better off staying out of thread if you wanna avoid em.
This has been a great anime so far, I made my anti-anime friend who I got into Berserk watch it and he's all like "Wat the hell is wrong with this guy? He's a prick" (about Light of course)

Carter you're too honest about things. I find the anime lacking the original "thought process" that the manga had though.

Am I the only one who thinks that Light seems overall jsut a little bit less-clever overall after watching the Anime, and then comparatively he seems like a dim-wit alot of the time in the Anime itself?

Um, the start sounds like the lead into 'L's B Theme', but it goes on for longer, with no hard rock guitar riffs. I'm surprised it's not there, 'cause it features in pretty much every Death Note episode aired so far.

It seems so ironic to me. I started watching this awhile back instead of reading it, and for the first time I've actually really enjoyed an anime (well, I don't know if I like it better than the comic yet, since I've yet to read it). An anime that happens to be mostly talking. That seems pretty impressive to me.
That, and I can't get over how much the music in it rocks. o.o

yeah the music is what's keeping me going on here….opening, ending, OSTs....its all great, but I usually watch the anime before reading the manga and then read the manga...

There were quite a few things that varied from the manga in this episode. Misa's photo shoot was added, and in turn, a bunch of the things in Rem's conversation with Jealous, and while telling Misa about Jealous, were cut out.

Well damn, I just watched episode 12. While the L part was…. interesting, even though they cut some stuff out of Jealous's conversation, I ABSOLUTELY loved how they handled the flashback.

Its been licensed and it was one of my favorite animes too. Anyone still going to continue the sub. I know Live-evil and Toriyama's World both are stopping. I dont know of any other subbers that did Death Note.

Not surprising, considering its probably the most popular new series out right now. It sure was fast tho…
I know there are other groups subbing, it just sucks because I wanted to make all [TW] dvds.
I'm also definitely waiting a WHILE before buying this series, I sure as hell ain't shelling out $20 a dvd for dozens of them after buying the whole manga series. I ain't made of $$$

Technically, it says nothing about dubbing the series. Viz may just be subbing the series for now so they can get it up for download as soon as possible.

Animanda is still subbing it. In my opinion, they were doing the best job on the show, but releases by TW and L-E were more hyped by fans.

TW did a fine job w/ translation and all but their white-colored font was hard to read due to ALOT of light colors/off whites used in the show (L's outfit, backgrounds or other things)
I don't see why all sub groups don't just use yellow like the dvds, its so much easier to read
