Frankly, if 73 is what he says it is, it may be just the shot in the arm the series needs.
The unpredictable schedule, both in terms of release and chapter size, is a turnoff. I like confidence that next week I'll read 413, and the week after, 414, and that they'll both be big enough to be meaty.
And I think the problem I have with the whole Alucard and Anderson soul-bearing is the timing of it. Their battle, and the situation they're in on a larger scale, is an animal, fight-or-flight thing, not an opportunity to break down in emotion. Only Kumadori has permission to act that way.

Now now, by comparison to a lot of series Hellsing isn't that long at all. It's just taking forever to come out.
And yeah, from what we can tell Doc totally remade Walter, so it's not just psychological brainwash, it's biological brainwash.

Can somebody please upload a link for the OVA promo trailer, the one that came out late last year and is over 5mins long. It shows the charcters from the manga.
This is a great series and I've searched for ages and only found dead torrents,
I also tried downloading from youtube but the vdownloader keeps crashing.

Because the OVA promo/trailer shows the charcters in the manga such as: Pip, Rip van Winkle, fat nazi major, the young/vampire walter etc.

The RAW for The OVA vol 2 is on ISOHUNT
and so people know this volume is a shorter episode than the 1st OVA so the entire bit of this volume with Pip isn't included
although the animation is up from the 1st one and its supposed to be even more violent than the manga…......
can't wait for torrent to finish
Impressions from someone at BoH
Alright, before I rip it I figure I'd briefly detail the good and the bad.
The Good:

The animation, in my opinion, is notably improved. It far surpasses the first OVA.

OVA Luke & Jan are great; extremely true to their manga selves. They put their anime counterparts to shame.

There's a lot of good, intermittent humor in this episode. Some is black humor (Jan particularly), and some is physical (mostly Ceres). The Ceres/Penwood scene had me rolling (you'll see what I mean).

The action scenes are ****ing awesome (especially Luke & Jan's raid on Hellsing HQ and the Luke/Alucard duel).

It's gory as **** – it outdoes the manga.

There's a second disk -- in the special edition -- called "Fish & Clips" that includes a bunch of various 15-30 second clips, long trailers (including the full Broken English version) and creditless endings from both OVA 1 and 2.

The animated 'staking of Dracula' scene, from Volume 4, wins the year. Seriously.
However, oddly, the booklet that came with the DVD calls, who I just assumed to be Van Helsing, "Sir Hellsing." Hrmm. Not sure if this was changed for the OVA or not. Also, Islands is "Islands," not "Irons" like some people have taken to incorrectly calling him after this latest chapter, and the booklet confirms that in English.
- The special edition also comes with little square (plastic?) plate-like things which feature all the title pages in Volume 2 of the manga (without text).
The bad:

This particular OVA is only about 39 minutes total, 41+ with the credits.

As such, it's not all of Volume 2. You get previews of the 'funeral scene,' Pip/The Wild Geese, and the museum scene in the final credits, but they aren't actually in the OVA. Evidently, they're saving it for the start of OVA III. This is what I was most disappointed by, personally.
Rather than rant on, though, I'm going to go ahead and start ripping...

I've only seen screencaps so far, but I must say that animation does look abso-fucking-lutely gorgeous.
If this in an indication of what we can expect from future volumes (with even more gorgeous/awesome scenes to be animated) I am a very happy fangirl.

I just watched the RAW all through it (it didn't really need subs since I've read the manga so many times)
and MY FUCKING GOD this is the best episode of anything I have seen in the past little while
Luke Jan and Walter are all handled perfect, the fight between Alcuard and Luke is beyond words (FYI Luke's speed looks like hes Soruing through Alucards shots), they even added in more scenes of them being badass before the main events which I won't give away, also they beefed the length of the Luke Alucard fight
Pip, the Funeral, Dandy and Integra were shown in the credits as the preview for episode 3 and it begins a little different from what people will remember
I CAN"T FUCKING WAIT FOR VOL3
oh and the music is better than the 1st volume
this is definatly a 10/10 from me, anyone who remotly likes the Valentine Brothers needs to get this ASAP

He's silent, fast like hell, strong like hell, has regenerative powers and he actually can turn himself into an wolf-like beast. 50 years ago, when Walter and Alucard fought against Milennium for the first time (Hellsing: the dawn), Captain tore Alucard in two pieces with his kick.

-Alucard and walter have a little conversation
-The Major Orders his blimp to land next to everyone
-Scro(I can't for the life of me spell his name out) comes out of the opening and seems to invite people on
-some more talking with Walter
-it looks like Integra and Ceras go onto the airship
-while Alucard and walter stay on the ground
-Integra draws her sword while on the way up
-then it ends with her shooting Scro in the face

i have only seen the Anime(without the OVA) and i wanna know if the manga is worth reading(i think so,i like Hellsing very much) -
the anime goes off into a filler bullshit ending at around episode 6 or 7
basically everything that happens in the anime after the Valentine's show up is filler
and the manga / OVA are like 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times superior, there are also some parts different near the starting So I suggest starting from the start

Agreed the OVA is far better than the 13 episode anime although its worth to have both.
Seras's character is far better portrayed in the OVA too which is too be expected

IMO the 2nd OVA is GOD TIER- pretty badass, plus I like how Alucard owned Luke >), plus the addition of the Konami Code was kinda funny too. -

THE MANGA IS FUCKING AWESOME!! Man this shit has as much gore and blood as Berserk and the whole 'evil' feel of it also cool even though it's something I don't like in some series, but still it gives the series a cool feel.
! Man Level 0 Alucard, Harkonnen II, Zorin Blitz no wonder the anime is considered BS when compared to the manga! I hope the animate the whole manga as an OVA cuz that shit would ROCK!Oh and could someone link me to some Hellsing artwork plz? I'd also like some X-Mas related images if possible :D.

basically since the dog got destroyed it spit Luke back out, Walters coughing up blood because of his speedy transformation surgery to become a vampire (monster vs. monster we know who wins those), The Major is talking about how he had this fight planned for 50 years (since the events in the Dawn), then Alucard kills Luke again and Walter says I may have lost my pet but I'm still coming for you ALUCARD! END OF CHAPTER
