I had this idea sketched out quite some time ago but never got around to drawing it. I don't know where 4kids currently is with One Piece, so this may be a little behind the times….

Don't put it past them. They aren't there.
But you know, …I think we are looking too much into this. They probably wont mention anything at all and Luffy would just be hitting Crocodile. Leaving yet another plot hole.
