Wow i can so see Nami bullying Sanji for his 'chivalry' speech when in truth a hot woman rubbed him all over and he definately loved it.
Nice turn of events though, Chopper breaking into the Namipha fight. After the recap last chapter he seemed to be heading towards Zoro/Sogeking.
It was also what i expected him to do….unconsciously going to them because the task of getting the key to freeing them still remained at the back of his mind.
I really dont know how its gonna go from here. Also Chopper smashed through the wall of the upper half of the tower. It should start tipping over anytime now.Oh and Oda is just god at drawing fight scenes. The dirst few pages was poetry in motion. I love fight scenes where there isnt much talk and a lot of action filled pages.

I never throught lucchi would be as challanging as enel because of the mantra, but seeing lucchi and luffy fight this time around it seems they're both on a whole other level than when he fought enel. mantra or not this is luffy hardest battle. Luffy doesn't seem to be in gear 2 either.

I love how most of Luffy vs. Lucchi had no dialouge, and, despite seeing Chopper just burst into the room, Nami can still just call Kalifa an idiot for making the conclusion that she did. :laugh:

That's what iv'e been saying. I wonder if it hurts them seeing as it apparently washes stuff away, I mean is it permanent (the stuff washed away) and it sort of makes them look disabled, and I don't wanna see any of the mugiwaras wheel chair bound or disabled in anyway
so kalifa (though I like her) and spandam (detest him) are going to have to be put away. Hitting a woman if sanji was there he'd be disgusted. -
Sadly this was dissapointingly uneventful as hell. That's a shame, he usually makes chapters after break awesome.

Anyone notice how chopper was smiling at the end of this chapter? It seems like he's happy to see either Nami or Calipha. Anyways, I remember people discussing how to counter Calipha's DF powers. Most people were saying dirt would work, but I doubt it, because we saw Sanji fall a few stories through ceilings towards the floor Nami was on. I'm sure going through stone and wood would produce a lot of dirt and notice how he's still bubbly.
The other possibility is water itself. We rinse soap off with water. If nami can make it rain and wash the effect off herself, she can also probably keep Calipha from encapsulating herself in soap in the event of a thunderbolt tempo. However, its not like she had a lot of time to figure this out before Chopper came into the room.
Now that Chopper is inside, he'll be a good distraction for Nami to figure out her situation a little more. He can beat Calipha up a bit until she cleans his berserk mode off, and at that point Nami might finally see Calipha's weakness. Regardless of if she can use soru or tekkai, a lightning bolt cant be guarded with a "hard" body or be dodged by just human speed given lightning is almost instantaneous.
These are just a few thoughts.

Not that I am complaining..but...
I think that so far Lucci Vs Luffy is really going well. I know Lucci hasn't even transformed yet, but I really like the choreography so far.
Zoro and Sogeking...well if Zoro can beat both of these guys, I won't say I told ya so.

Anyway, thanks BF for the chapter! And early, too, nice! So, it looks like Oda has found another way to prolong Luffy's fight without making him lose - make him not pay attention to it. I am very happy with this because otherwise these mega-boss fights get really predictable.

Anyhoo, VERY nice fight, and the Luffy-Lucci one was good too. Anyone think Chop-Kong looks like he's going to eat (Ba)Kalipha? Or that hunger look could've been something else…who knows? I think Oda's going to resolve the Nami-Kalipha-Chopper thing before moving back to Luffy-Lucci. This is a fight that needs at least a whole chapter to itself.
And wouldn't rain just create more bubbles, and allow Kalipha more of a victory?

That's true. I guess the most rain can do is to wash away the "shine" (Is it soap?) on Nami so she can move normally again. Then again it looks like Nami is still mobile despite what Kalifa has done to her. Perhaps that's good enough for her. Nami doesn't fight with strength anyway. Moreover Chopper has come in to help, or does he?
Off-topic:
It seems that Chopper has become Nami's knight in shining armour since W7.It's nice to know that in Luffy's mind, it is save Robin first, fight pigeon guy second. I was worried he might get too carried away with fighting and forget about Robin, who is soon to be taken away. No doubt that would be his disadvantage as well on the focus part.

When I first read that title I thought to myself:
"YOU MEAN THE BUBBLES WILL MAKE HER BOOBIES BIGGER!?!?!?!"
Sadly that's not the case, but great fanservice in this chapter…definately amps up the "yuri" potentiality between the two of them...but with Chopper in the room, it definately changes the whole battle. (I too believe he'll be "cleaned" of his monster form, then Nami will finally be back to take Calipha down once and for all)
Luffy/Lucci...that was insane! With all of his fights recently, this may be the first time we get a real match of brawn vs. brawn since...er, probably Arlong. (not too sure: maybe the Mr. 3 fight, since Wapol wasn't too bad, Croc and Eneru are Logians, Bellamy was too easy and Foxy was more like a game) I'm sort of happy there were no dialouge here...it just makes it even cooler.
BTW: The Sogesword is now called "Hanaarashi", the "Nose Storm"...nuff said.

as for Nami's enlargement - those things look bigger that usual in the panel Kalifa grabs her and lubs her

and oh i totally missed that. But Choppkong has his blonde now as well :laugh: ROFLMAO so definitely not Choppzilla/jirra but a Choppkong :laugh:

If Chopper reverts to normal, he might have some chalk or calcium in his medical supplies - combine with Nami's climatact rain and we have 'hard water' which creates soap scum - possibly affecting Kalifa or the negating the effect on Nami.
Hmm. A scuumy, caked skin Kalifa…?
I definitley think 'hard water' will be the solution to this...

No thus far Lucci has the advantage. Remember all Lucci has to do is keep Luffy from passing for a certain amount of time.

Judging from the way he acted after beating Blueno, he probably feels he'll be tapped out after a hard fight with Lucci. Just an idea of why this might be, because I didn't want to just say Shonen logic or whatever.

Yeah, it was stated in the spoiler thread that the title refers to Kalifa believing Chopzilla is actually a transformation of Nami's.

Every week this happens to me;
I read the raw, and it looks like less and less happens every week. Then the translation comes out and i realize just how much happens through dialogue and i stop in mid-rant.
Besides, Lucci and Luffy's fight seems bitchin. Plus, Luffy hasn't gone Gear 2nd and and Lucci hasn't gone kitten mode. Oh, the tensions…
I'm also dying for that Sogerking/Zoro battle, mostly because the longer it's delayed, the more i'm inclined to think it'll be amazing (especially if they get freed and can use their full power).

I think maybe it takes a lot of concentration and takes a lot out of him to do so and he can't just yet because Lucci keeps distracting him… also he wants to get to Robin ASAP, that's probably weighing on his mind.AND GO CHOPZILLA! Man I love his transformation! even though he's a giant monster, he's still cute ^_^

I don't think any amount of cheap diversions or distractions will fool Lucci. Luffy may want to retrieve Robin first, without losing too much power, but it's clear to see, he's not leaving that room in his normal state.
Time's against him, either way he'll have no other choice sooner or later, he'll have to step it up. So why not sooner, then later?
