Spandain probably made career and is now head of all government agencies directly under the Gorousei. That's how Spandam got the job in the first place.

I think the CP9 all just have a cool attitude, which seems to be a standard trait among professional assassins, killing their emotions and all that. It's the same with Robin (most of the time). They're just unconcerned with pretty much anything.

Yes, Spandam is a dumbass. He understands the destructive power of Buster Call very well and is just excited over controlling that power. He would never even imagine, that this power could suddenly be directed against him.
The same with Spandain, when Buster Call suddenly attacked Ohara, while he was still on it. -

Welp, I was totally wrong on the Paulie situation. Oda not showing him during the FF and Galley-La shots really sent me down the wrong path. I wonder if he was knocked out when Rocketman came barreling through or if he simply fell before sheer numbers. That or if his injuries finally caught up with him.
This brings up something I've been thinking about for a while now.
If the Franky Family gets arrested, then they get arrested. Their reason for coming to Enies Lobby can be summed up in a single word: Franky. That's it and the World Government will not pry any other reason out of them besides that because there isn't one.
Paulie, Tilestone, and Lulu are a whole 'nother ballgame though. The World Government would view them as having two possible reasons for being there: to avenge Iceburg or to help the Straw Hats take back Nico Robin.
If they simply say that they're there on their own initiative, then the World Government will simply accuse them of covering for Iceburg and then putting him on trial for treason or some similar reason.
Admitting that they were helping the Straw Hats means that they're pirates and will be treated as such. I can't see Iceburg letting that happen.
There's a pretty good chance that somebody is going to take a bullet for the team like Tom did; Iceburg is the most likely candidate for this as he could make a deal with the World Government regarding Pluton in exchange for their freedom.
It wouldn't surprise me if the government's highest officials kept the results of Buster Call a secret from most people. When so few people survive, guess the word doesn't get out much. ^^
The World Government may well keep the Buster Call classified to make it easier to use on a target when it becomes necessary.
On the other hand, they're also the type that would leak hints of a Buster Call to the general public for the sake of deterrance. Nothing specific, just the vaguest of ideas as to what it is. So citizens of the World Government may know that a grim fate awaits those who disobey their leaders, but not know that the actual procedure itself is called a Buster Call or how it happens, only the results.
This would imprint into the brain of the average citizen the notion that "reading Poneglyphs = firey death" quite nicely without giving away too much information. During the destruction of Ohara, the refugee ship was off to the side slightly and away from the town; this might have been so that they'd have a good view of the island burning, but not a particularly good idea of what was happening. There's no need for the ship to stick around otherwise.

EDIT- OK finished watching the RAW & damn those have got to be the tinniest pics I've ever seen X_X.! OK so Spandam initiates Buster Call, we see a little of Luffy vs. Lucci & neither have started getting serious yet (which is cool IMO so far).
It seems Choppzilla is still on the rampage (my thoughts are that he will interefere with Nami vs. Califa).
The remaining soldiers of E. Lobby have arrested Paulie & co.
Spandam punched Robin…he's lucky Sanji ain't there >D.
! Personal opinion on what happened to Sanji:-
He's either rejuvinating and will then help Nami defeat Califa

Well i always thought that people, such as the curent members of CP9, beeing trained all their lives to become killing-machines, never meet their parent's, that they don't even know who they are. Having parent's and having nice memories with them would be "usless emotions". I rather believe that all of them were taken from their families when they were 4/6 years old, then brainwashed and then trained in rokushiki.

Honestly, I think the kids given up willingly by parents might be more likely. Who knows, Kumadori could be John Giants kid, or something. They do have similar chins.

why would you want to see that? cobby would stand absolutely no chance against luffy unless he has a DF now which i doubt. helmeppo would stand no chance against zorro either. i think cobby might officially stop considering luffy a friend and now consider him an enemy after this arc especially if garp fights luffy and get's beat.

Well..I just want to see how far their improvement..Do they make any progress or not..I mean Coby & Helmeppo..they really have different power now..I know they couldn't defeat luffy cs..unless their 10 times stronger than CP9:laugh: ; but anyway 1 thing for sure is they will cherish their friendship with Luffy Cs no matter what happen..(even they have to "fight till death")

Helmeppo or Coby… that's a good one... Those 2 have barely even learned how to USE swords, let alone fight Zoro, practically the God of Swordsman (outside of Mihawk).

That's what I was worring too…it's going to be wierd seeing fights with a bunch of stuff getting blown up everywhere. But you know how time passes in Shounen manga, they'll probably be done fighting before the ships arrive. They have to GET there first.

My personal bet is for Fukurou who, after narrowly escaping the Buster Call, begins to travel the world, where he begins to pick up rumors about various famous people in the OP world. With this knowledge, he finally realizes his dream of operating his own tabloid newspaper.

hmmm… Not a "wow, my god" chapter. The story goes on, the plot advances, but nothing really happens. A nice chapter to end the next Volume (probably it will have chapters 399-409), but when we see a chapter per week, this one was a small let-down.
So, Buster Call is coming. Will the Strawhats fight it, or will they escape in time? Only time will tell. One thing is certain: these fights are exhausting their strength, just like the Alabasta fights (remember when they were unconscious and the marines found them?), so this is a dangerous moment for our favorite pirates.
Some points:

I like that the Galley-lah, Frankies and giants were captured. It added realism by showing that weak troops in great numbers can overwhelm powerful characters. It also gives some scenes of the raid in Enies Lobby more depth: after all, Luffy was being slowed by the marines (even tough they could not harm him) until the others broke through the gates, and then there was that critical moment when the troops surrounded the falling Gomorrah (before he stood up and went on despite his wounds). This means that even the Strawhats alone would probably be defeated by 10,000 marines at some point, due to exhaustion (even if they were to defeat 9,000 marines before they fall).

Spandam is a big, big SoB. If we had not seen Funkfreed, I would think that he was destined to escape and later come back as an even bigger SoB, so that his fall would be even sweeter. But since he has a powerful and wacky weapon, he is sure to be defeated this arc. Either way, I really want to see him getting his smackdown.

Sanji is even worse than before. Damn, I would like to see him at least getting back to his feet. So far, it seems like he will do nothing (things can always change, but I am beginning to fear what will be left for him to do).

Luffy vs. Lucci. Now I am excited. Luffy will defeat Lucci, but... will he do it in time for saving Robin? I would hate if Oda were to extend even more this chapter. We already have the buster call coming. We don't need to extend it even more by making the Strawhats then journey to the Marine Headquarters.

And I want Sanji to fight Jyabura... and then Zoro could go out to maybe rescue the other or fightning buster call, while Usopp fight against Kaku, he doesnt seem to use swords in his Giraffe form so. ;)

I'd actually like to see Sanji fight Spandam now, I think with the sword and his injuries Spandam might give Sanji a little challenge. Until the swords gone that is, then Spandam's gonna get beat down.
Also, I agree with this view of the gears. I hope that gear 4 and 5 are some sort of unique moves (assuming there go that far). I'm hoping that one of the gears give Luffy some sort of super kamahamaha-like move.

Well it seems that Luffy can stay in each gear for less time. He can only be in Gear 2nd while the steam is coming out of his body, and Gear 3rd seems like it might only last for one REALLY powerful attack. Then he becomes (a significantly weaker?) chibi-Luffy.

Usopp will get stronger. It happened to Nami in Alabasta. I bet that the Kabuto is packin' some serious ass-whuppin' power.

Well i hope that Oda won't go that far, by the time we reach Raftel, there will be what? Gear 12?
If he will go that far it is best if each gear is something unique like you said and not power up, after power up, that would be horrible lame.
As for me, a kamehameha 'like' move, that is the last thing I want. Luffy is strong but i don't what him to have a move with which he could destroy entire mountain's.
