If I had to venture a guess, I would say Finals season in their classes. But I'm not going to ask, because it's a cycle. They release really fast for a while, then slow down. fast then slow. It happened before, and it will happen again.
The last person who posted a thread like this, although more angry was hit by a ban threat from Dythim. Just thought you should know.

Well, I am an editor for KEFI and I have been lagging in doing things because it is the final 3 weeks of classes for me. So, I can understand why anyone would lag around this time…. research papers, projects, presentations, finals, etc. Wait till summer my impatient friend.

In my opnion, Gerusama shouldn't release really anything while they have exams… The releases can wait while the exams won't, and I really wish for these great people to get good grades then watching a single episode or two. Who knows, they might male a double release after the exams :P

Gerusama will release eps when they are able.Right now, they are not able to, since REAL-LIFE committments, which you obviously don't understand, are taking priority right now.
If you don't like it, then tough...

He's only asking a question. He doesn't mean to nag, he's just curious. It's understood that Gerusama is busy right now, but there hasn't been any word yet on what is happening. People can't help but feel anxious.
You people need to calm down on the "they have lives too you know/be grateful they're doing this voluntarily". We understand, but don't be angry if we just want to know the situation.

Sheesh. It's not like I posted about biting my fingernails– I honestly just wondered if the group was still going to put out releases. I've seen more than one fansubbing group go under.
If you want to pin me with a flaw, it's not impatience or being demanding... it's nosiness. I wanted the dish. Turns out the dish is finals, so not really good gossip, alas. But quite understandable!
It's so hard to get tone across in the internet. People are quick to assume the worst intentions.

I'm sorry, but exams do NOT last a month and a half/two months… End of story. I'm in school myself, and exams do not require TWO MONTHS of studying. I'd just like to know what's up from the gerusama people... I don't mind waiting, I'd just like to know when we can expect another episode, if ever.

I suggest you chill out. You're damn lucky they've put their time into giving us as many episodes as they have. So if you are gonna question them just get out.
If they choose to shut down gerusama. I wont be upset cause that would be their choice.

@dart: if you just look one thread over in the subforum, you'll see a post from a Gerusama member who's looking for more translators to help out. So, putting two and two together, looks like a simple case of shorthandedness, eh? Curiosity was, I still think, well-founded, but has now been satisfied. So, best of luck to Gerusama fansubs in finding new translators.

Actually, there's some coordination issues as everyone's getting used to doing things again… ^^;; Once gerusama gets back, though, I think there'll probably be a few releases... ^^ Don't count on it, though, as I'm still a little unsure how everything works out. XD

A month later, we keep waiting for their (so great) releases. :cwy:

Everything's fine. We're just having trouble getting everybody coordinated again (from what I can tell). ^^; There should be a release soon… (At least, that's what I was told. XD)

You said having problem getting everybd coordinated again (after May exams period I suppose…) but actually, your team looks more "dead" than working on futur releases… (no news since May on the main website page…).

i hope they come back soon though, because now i only have ADC subs to watch. and although they are ok, GeruSama releases are the ones i keep on my HDD.

Sorry for bumping but you guys have to understand another thing.
Maybe they feel its "pointless".
I'm not saying this is whats going on but the following is a possiblity.
ADC Elites came into the picture and started fansubbing while Gersuama still was releasing, then they got their exams and saw how ADC was doing after they were done. They were way ahead with fast releasing, almost EVERYONE went over to ADC and many probably go "Screw gerusama, they were slow and they aren't even doing anything now". I however, never watched a single ADC release to this day.
So maybe they feel its not worth the hassle, subbing isn't easy.
You gotta admit, many of us underappreciated Gerusama.

I actually agree with you Buuhan1, anymore it's just Kaizoku and ADC since Gerusama has decided to mainly not work on stuff anymore.

Now, I would just like to say something here…
I don't know the exact situation. Last I heard, we were still waiting on attack effects, as our effect guys kinda... disappeared off the face of the earth. However, we ARE (or at least, were last time I talked to Geru) planning to continue releases. So, please just hang in there and wait, 'kay? I'm gonna email Geru soon with the translations I'm backdated on, and I've also got some stuff to ask him then about future releases. As soon as he gets back to me, I'll make sure to tell you guys what's going on. I don't even know the specifics of what's going on anymore... ^^;
I do hope we release soon, though, I wanna see the episodes I translated all done... XD
And I want my name to be that cool pink color. ^^;; -

Well, at least it was. XD At first the problem was translation (Geru couldn't do it full time anymore), but they got me for that. ^^ I know everything's timed and spellchecked, I even have/had spellcheck versions of 260-263, as well as being able to download quality check versions… but the attacks people never finished, or something. I dunno. All I know is that they're pretty much done... except for rokushiki and Franky's attacks. Other people's attacks are done as just normal effects, I think, except for Paulie... But Paulie's are done by someone else, who actually is, you know, existent still. --
But I haven't talked to anybody in about... a month, so things might be different. I had a few episodes translated (259, 261, 263, 265, 266), sent 'em off to Geru... and we still haven't released. Made it kinda difficult for me to motivate myself to actually translate, yanno? XD But I'm almost done with my backlog of episodes, I'll finish them off and ask all sorts of lovely questions. XD XD XD Are we actually releasing, if we are then when, are we still planning to do movie 7, that kinda thing. I'll post everything I find out about releases here, probably. So, I suppose, look forward to hearing news... sometime in the next week, probably, unless something's going on and he doesn't get back to me for a while. ^^;

Thank you Murasaki, I myself was just about ready to look at ADC. My bandwidth is limited, so I was waiting for Gerusama's higher quality releases. I look forward to hearing the news so I know if I should continue to wait.

I'm definitely waiting for Gerusama releases, ADC's releases are lower quality, and the subtitles are large and unattractive, unlike K-F's and Geru's. I also like the translations better for K-F and Gerusama. ADC's are, well, rushed. (Don't get me wrong, I know it's a speedsubbing group, kind of like Dattebayo for Naruto)

it just kinda seemed like he really wanted to see the episodes but didn't want to use ADC because he thinks they're still horrible. I just wanted him to know they've gotten much better. I'll probably still check out Geru if/when they return though.

No, if I had unlimited bandwidth I would have looked at ADC. But since I am alloted only a small amount each month, I have to pick and choose what I IRC. That's all. Which is why I don't want to download an episode more than once.(and if the news Murasaki brings indicates that Gerusama is gone, then I'll go to ADC.)
