i wonder..
it is so banal today to cover some part of an anime character's body…kakashi from naruto..sanji...well i can't name a thousand characters-_-
it seems like nobody cares anymore if that 'part' will ever be exposed. for example, in SBS corner, there were questions about sanji's eyebrows, but never about his right eye. does nobody cares anymore? do you even want to see sanji's right eye or kakashi's face? in the end of OP/naruto or somethin' like that? like..a special surprise for the grand finale..i don't know. what do you think?

I really want to see Kakashi's face! Or at least know why he covers it.
As for Sanji…I don't really care about that.
oh and that masked guy from Gundam Seed. Why the hell does he wear a mask!?!

Uhh… I remember reading somewhere that Kishimoto said he was going to make all ninjas wear that mask (Like Kakashi), but he realized it wasn't good and decided that only Kakashi covers his face.
I'm not sure thought, I don't even know the source for that. It would made sense (to me, at least.)As for Sanji, I think it's natural or something. He's had it since a child. Or maybe he lost his eye and covers it.
What I believe most is that Oda just decided it would fit Sanji's personality. -

Eh, I don't find it to be a big deal anymore. I'm pretty sure it's just natural. That'd be gross if he turned out to be like Dr. Blight from Captain Planet though.

Actually, wasn't there a part in the second opening when both of Sanji's eyes are showing? And there are a few times we see his right eye covered by mistake, or both eyes showing but closed (mistakes and oddities thread)

intresting, i never noticed that.
but anyway, what i meant in this thread is, that nobody seems to care anymore if sanji's eye or kakashi's face will ever be revealed.

that's just the animators' mistakes… since they're drawing frame by frame, they're probably doing "draw-throughs" before refining the lineart, so i guess someone forgot to cover that up... or maybe they did that so that people would be like "OMG! Sanji DOES have two eyes!!" O.O;
as for Oda drawing him with anti-gravity hair.... come on! XD
