In a fight which do you think is more important? The strength to knock someone out when your punch lands or the ability to dodge the other guy's punches and stick and move. I've seen many fights where each side was proved to be right because one guy was extremely one side i.e. a guy like Butterbean who is so strong his punches are like anvils and his jaw is made of stone…but you get a guy like Ali who literally would dodge punches by only moving his head.
A guy like Tank Abbit vs a guy like Tito Ortiz. A literal tank who just throws knockout punches and obliterates people vs a guy who is so fast you don't even see him taking you down and pounding your face in.
I think in the end if two guys are even as in equal levels of strength vs speed. Like someone is as strong as someone is fast if you will....I think speed wins. Speed may mean not as much behind the punch but that punch is coming a lot faster and there's more right behind it. If you're in good enough shape to remain at full speed when fighting you are untouchable....problem is when speed guys get tired the strength guys finally land that knockout blow.
Unless the speed guy has been wearing the strength guy down the entire time and his strength has deteriorated....anyway I'm wondering if anybody has an opinion on this?
