Ah yes - That was a weird movie :ninja:
i got this question ,
by reading a post of Jeark Disease.
Is chopper considered a "awakened" Zoan Devil Fruit user ?
Im talking about the monster point of his,
or,just that stage is considered "awakened" ?
We don't even know exactly what an awakened zoan is. For all we know, it could be a subset of zoans that are more powerful than normal animal zoans. It may be a secret 4th form any zoan user can use (Cause honestly, the demon guards didn't look like the half-human half-beast forms we're accustomed to). I doubt Monster point is an awakened zoan, considering it was the product of a rumble ball. It may act like an awakened zoan, but it probably isn't a real one
Just a pseudo awakened…
i like that Oda gives the zoans types so much spotlight
with the ancient zoans, and the mysticals zoans, and also with this awakened zoans
because the logias are the top tiers
and paramacia are the most comun

We're not sure, he might be right, but don't take it for granted
A gold logia fruit would be nice, and the man with that power can be called "the richest man on earth"
If it was just water that hindered a DF ability, could there ever be a Water fruit??? I know there was one in one of the movies, but that was really cheap.
@ <nico:< small="">> If it was just water that hindered a DF ability, could there ever be a Water fruit??? I know there was one in one of the movies, but that was really cheap.
Its the sea that hinders the DF ability, not pure water, so yes, there can be a mizu mizu no mi. I'm hoping we see it someday </nico:<>
I'm not so sure about that. I think any kind of water would be detrimental to a DF user so long as they are submerged in it. Not so sure though. Can anyone educate me on this?
You're right Haoshoku-kid it's all kind of water, as long as the Power User is submerged at least half they'll lose control.
I don't think a waterman would be impossible since we've seen Luffy with a ridiculous amount of water within his body to no ill effects. And that's without going into the whole "the human body contains ~70% water" which really doesn't matter considering the kind of story One Piece is.
It'd have to either be a create/control paramecia or logia Devil Fruit too. I guess a sort of limit for it would be that the Power User would have to be wary of surrounding themselves with too much water and accidentally taking him or herself out.

The only thing that hints to a connection between the two are comparisons made before about the hands matching up. I remember someone suggesting awhile ago that Chopper's Monster Point is what happens when a zoan-type Power User is "fully" awakened, hence so much strength gained at the loss of any kind of control.
Adding to that, I'm guessing that the reason Chopper didn't get enhanced recovery is due to the method he used to become an awakened zoan. So I think while the Sentinel Beasts are awakened zoans as well, it was done using a less extreme method(going with Vegapunk here) at the cost of less strength. Which in spite of them still being mindless to a degree, it allows them to still be controlled and lets them recover from beatings quicker.

Stationary water affects DF users
Moving water like rain, splashes doesn't
And neither of those would leave someone submerged so…okay?

This onee person had this cool theory on awakened Zoans…saying that they could be DF that didn't get eaten but "awakened"...sorta like a Living form of the DF power. If Vegapunk could make a gun eat a dog DF and a sword eat an elephant one, then this isn't too far off that right? I like that idea and it would be kinda cool.....though I think it would only be possible with Zoan DF.

This is what I had originally thought, but then why are they half human?
I don't think monster point is an "awaken" zoan form cause if the demon guards are then wouldn't his awaken form be a human?

Weren't the awakened zoan guards some type of "humanoid" animals? So an awakened Chopper might be an "animalized" human.
what is an awaken zoan user anyways?

There isn't much info on them, but it's assumed that they are zoan fruit users that have ascended their transformations to a level beyond the usual. It's also assumed that Chopper reached that level with three Rumble Balls, but was too unstable like that to have control over the form.

When was it first mentioned?

ID maybe?
i dont it remember being mentioned b4 that …but dont quote me
Well to be honest, I think that part of Chopper's issue when he ate 3 rumble balls is that he tapped into the Giant part of his devil fruit. Even though in One Piece Fishmen, Mermen and Giants refer to normal people as humans, I think they are technically humans as well: As evident of the existence of Big Pan and the fact that Kokoro has a human grandchild, they can breed together and have fertile offspring, so they technically all are the same species - humans. Thus, since Chopper ate the human fruit, there's nothing preventing him from becoming a giant or any other of the races. The obvious exception would be merman and fishman simply because those forms would be useless as a DF user. The rage could have just been the overwhelming power of the giant + the three rumble balls amplifying that power even more and that taking over Chopper's mind and sanity.
I'm probably completely wrong, but I thought I'd bring the Giants/Mermen/etc = human bit into it.
@ <nico:< small="">> This is what I had originally thought, but then why are they half human?
Maybe Vegapunk put the devil fruits into a dead body. Think about it. when you put a Zoan DF in an inanimate object it moves and listens to commands. That means the "Animal" of a DF has to have some sort of conscience. Otherwise Lasso would have just been a dog-shaped gun right?</nico:<>
Im pretty new to this forum, so if people already spoke about this then my fault. I was reading the Zoan article on wikipedia, and I realized that Zoans would be able to be anything such as a : dragon, vampire, gargoyles since they are all mystical creatures or any dinasour. My question is: What do you think the next creature would be in regards to devil fruit being the Zoan Mythical or Zoan Ancient? One Piece is really broad, so i believe Oda can incorporate anything into his story. What do everyone think?
About the Vampire DF (first,a vampire is not a beast,a vampire is a human with powers) well,
i think that Oda "wasted" the chance to use this kind of DF in T.Bark, maybe Bat zoan Df
About the ancient type..
I will have to go with the more cliche ones:Pterodactyl, velociraptor and a Ankylosaurus
types
and what is considered a mystical Beast ?
a Leviathan ? Kraken ?
@Rubber:
When was it first mentioned?
In Impel Down by Crocodile.

Not those, because it would be broken to have a DF user that can go underwater. Or its the most useless fruit ever, transform and you can't breath.
A Vampire DF is only usefull when there is no Sunlight.

unless it just a mythical bat fruit lol
half way transformed u look like a vampire
what is considered a mystical Beast ?
a Leviathan ? Kraken ?
I could easly imagine zoan such as Dragon, Hydra, Cerberus, Minautor, Werewolf
Anybody ever consider the chance that maybe Sengoku had a model giant human fruit or something like that?
@ <nico:< small="">> Anybody ever consider the chance that maybe Sengoku had a model giant human fruit or something like that?
Its Buddha Buddha Fruit.</nico:<>

well vampire bats exist (but they attack only cattle or horses and take only a extremely little quantity of blood, also thanks to their small size),so if a zoan like this exist ,it could easily make it's possessor able to drink other man's blood, and no garlic, sun or crucifix will be able to stop him

a Human-Bat Hybird would allow him to suck More Blood. I buy it.
about the werewolf..
Jyabura ?? anyone ???
yeah !!!!
the bat zoan fruit is a good one
(like that bad guy in Batman)

Dalton is pretty much a Minotaur, and Jabura is a Werewolf. The others would be cool though.
Mythical zoans of creatures that are half human will never happen. For any of them you'd get your human form, 3/4 human form, and 1/2 human form. Never.
We've seen a Basilisk (or Cockatrice), Sphynx and Manticores in Impel Down. Those are kinda mythical. Oh and Dragons from the Ryuuma story.
Or else Salamanders, Unicorns, Griffins, Nekomatas and Tanuki's to name a few common, non-human hybrid mythological animals.
i would like to see a Monkey DF

Um… tanukis aren't mythical. They actually exist.

I mean the ones with ballsacks that can cover houses, not the cute raccoon dogs.
blargh.

Ideally these are somewhat human hybrids, so we may not get these animals in devil fruit form.
about the Unicorn DF
..it will be just a Uma Uma no mi with a horn.
Salamanders..but we already have a Mystical zoan DF with Fire theme…
i realy don´t whant that "the 5 Flaying-powers DF´s"
ended all up as Zoans
we have Pell, marco, lafitte (this one we don´t have a clue if it is a zoan)
about the awekened Zoans types
i readed this in a long time
but in another forums, a guy said that this zoans are the Fruits, the pure fruit with no human( the essence)
I was thinking about the 5 Flying Types. I can't remember who said it, but I think it's 5 animals that fly like:
1. Birds (Pell, Marco, Lafitte)
2. Pterodactyl/Other Flying Dinosaurs
3. Bat/Other Flying Mammals
4. Insects
5. Dragon (Probably just Dragon himself)
and then Shiki's DF. Maybe Blackbeard in time can fly if he can manipulate his own gravity. Be fun to see him fly.
Buggy can fly also with his DF
to see BB flying,it will be more awkward than Tsuchikage´s Flying
a Drangonfly DF..now thats will be awesome

When Pell mentioned the five Devil Fruits that can fly, I feel that he was talking about fruits where flight was a purpose of the power. To put it another way, powers that allow the user to fly (such as Shiki's or Buggy's) wouldn't list flight as one of their powers, just as a use of the actual power (making things float or controlling your body within a limited space). Where as a Fruit like Pell's or Marco's would actually have "ability to fly" under the power listing. So while there are more than five Devil Fruits that allow a person to fly, only five actually list flying as a benefit of the Fruit and not as a use of the granted power.
Example:
Cat-Cat Fruit, Model Leopard
Ability to turn into a leopard.
Ability to turn into a leopard/human hybrid.
Increased strength, speed, constitution, hearing, smell.
Chop-Chop Fruit
Ability to separate body into individual parts that can be controlled with a limited area around the feet.
-All body parts can levitate except for feet.
Immunity to slicing attacks.
Mystical-Mystical Fruit, Model: Phoenix (just made up the name for this one since it is still unnamed)
Ability to turn into a phoenix.
Ability to turn into a phoenix/human hybrid.
Can use flame of phoenix form to heal injuries to body.
-Regeneration has set limit.
-Flame is restorative only; no combat powers.
User is able to fly.
I agree with you DaeJi..(i also fell like that)
because not always,Wings = flight
maybe theres another way to fly
who knows ??
Buggy can fly also with his DF
to see BB flying,it will be more awkward than Tsuchikage´s Flying
a Drangonfly DF..now thats will be awesome
Sort of, he needs his feet on the ground, and he can't venture far from it. Not exactly like Pell or Shiki's who can do it without this limitation.
