Sanji [1st] cuz it already takes 20 chef to feed Luffy alone, and he has to feed the other 6 crew memebers as well.
plus he's always doing favors for Nami-swan and Robin-swanNami [2nd] she's the ship's navigator, and that's a huge role. She always have to keep an eye on the ship's route and the weather. A very difficult task, though I don't think as hard as feeding Luffy.
(plus she's got Sanji to help her with her orange trees)Ussop [3nd] cuz he's always fixing Going Merry which is getting trashed every second. He's also the boat's technician and invent gadgets like his own octopus spring and Nami's weather stick
Chopper [4th] He's ever so busy cuz he has to tend the other crews' wounds as the ship's doctor. And since everyone is always getting hurt, Chopper's a busy man…um...I mean reindeer. Plus I often see him preparing medicines and stuff.
Robin [5th] I hardly see her doing anything at all on the ship. She's mostly concentrated in reading her books…I guess she's busy in that way. Mostly I just see her sitting down with a cup of coffee or tea with a book in her hand
Luffy [6th] now it's hard to decide b/w Zorro and Luffy. But I've decided to place Luffy before Zorro. Luffy doesn't do anything at all voluntarily. But he's pretty active and I always see him sitting on Going Merry's head being excited about things.
Zoro [7th] the only reason he beats Luffy in least-busy is because he can sleep through a crisis and wake up hours after and not knowing a thing. Though I often see him train and work out alot…but....he falls asleep with a snap of a finger...

Hm…Sanji, Nami and Usopp all get fairly busy, in different ways. I think in Sanji's case, he's just doing something he really enjoys and comes naturally to him. Nami has to really be alert and on guard for nearly every waking moment, although her work is more mental than anything. Usopp has had the burden of constantly patching up poor Merry, but he's always doing something, like building weapons, mixing up chemicals for his ammo, etc.
Chopper gets busy when people are hurt, but in times of respite, he can slack off. Although I'm sure he needs to spend time mixing medicine and continuing studies. ^_^ Zoro trains, and sleeps. Luffy acts hyper. Robin reads. :D

I think it's sanji. Luffy, Usopp and Chopper are the slackest and followed by probably Zoro and Robin.
Sanji has to go around cooking for all of them and pleasing his girls ;)

Sanji only cooks when it's time for dinner, and he loves doing it. Plus it doesn't really seem to take him any effort.
However, Nami constantly has to pay attention to weather changes, the direction of the ship, the wind and every other element that ensures their survival in the seas. I'd say she's busiest by far.

It SHOULD be Nami but she seems to have time to read the newspaper in her deck chair. Sanji seems to spend more time in the caboose - than I would if I were cooking.

Almost every time we see them on the ship in normal situations Sanji is working. Nami relaxes a little more, and usually extorts others to do lots of things(usually Sanji, which is one of the reasons he's so busy).

I actually think Nami is the most busy, but I can see the arguement for Sanji, and agree.
Who ever voted that Zoro is the busiest needs a hearty slap to the back of the head. (kidding! But still..)

I have a theory which might not exactly fit in this thread but I don't want to start a new one:
It must be much easier to be the navigator on the Grandline than on any other ocean because:
- there are no/hardly any maps
- people can't navigate according to directions
-> no need to know about stars or about other means to find the right way
-> no need to measure speed/to know how far the ship has gone/how far to go in a certain direction
The ONLY thing a navigator has to do is to look at the little log-post. And if he/she falls asleep/reads/has better things to do, well, then the ship won't go the direct way (e.g. NNW) but it can always be turned to get to the next island all the same (e.g. gone to far north, has to go SW now).
Therefore, I think ANYBODY (except Luffy, Zoro and some of the dumber enemies) could navigate along the Grandline and the navigator has VERY LITTLE to do.
However, I admit that it demands greater navigation skills to enter the Grandline (and go up to sky-islands, etc.). Also, if Nami wants to make a map of the Grandline, she SHOULD be working a lot (measuring how many miles they have gone, which directions they have taken, etc.) but this would be just for her own dream and not for getting to the last island.

Well, Sanji does cook a hellalot; so it would make sense for him to be the busiest. Although, Usopp would have to be the second busiest, because he's always working on some new invention when he's not fooling around with Luffy and Chopper.

It was between Usopp and Sanji for me.
Usopp due to the amazing amounts of fixing, inventing, sometimes keeping Luffy amused he always seems to be doing.
Sanji cus well…. cooking basicly XD
Nami, she works alot but not as much as those two since like said above, it's just her way bu being awear all the time.
Chopper, doctor stuff and helping out.
Zoro, Luffy and Robin.. well... what do they do? XD Zoro and Luffy are more battle useful then anything else. And Robin... sometimes helps out but often she just reads.

Definitely Sanji. You never see him chilling. Nami comes in a far second. She keeps getting treats from Sanji anyway. Third's Chopper, who's always fooling around with Luffy and Usopp half the time. Next is Usopp. The rest of them don't do anything at all, but if I were to place them, Luffy, Robin, Zoro.
While we're at that, who's the joker who voted for Zoro?

Well, we can knock Luffy, Zoro, and Robin off immediatly, none of them ever seem all too busy.
Chopper probably gets pretty busy immediatly following a battle, but once everyone is healed, he screws around with guys as much as anyone.
Nami definatly has to pay a lot of attention to the Log Pose and the weather, but when something needs to be done in order to change or correct the ship's heading, she seems to make the guys do all the neccessary work.
Sanji gets very busy having to cook for Luffy, but he only does three meals a day with the occasional snack. Just because he has to cook 20 servings extra for Luffy shouldn't be too big a problem for a world class chef. Really, the chefs on pretty much every other pirate ship we've seen probably have to cook far more for each meal just because of the size of the crew. Also, it seems most of the snacking Luffy does, he sneaks out and therefore Sanji doesn't actually have to do any work in those instances except to restock the fridge.
So that just leaves Usopp. Now Usopp seems to spend a great deal of time on the ship reparing it. This is a very difficult job for someone who knows what they are doing. Usopp, who has no carpentry skills whatsoever, probably spends much longer doing his shody repair jobs than any skilled carpenter would. Add to this the fact that he also finds the time to design and build unique weapons for himself and Nami and I think we have the busiest Strawhat when the ship is at sea.

I havta say, it's Sanji. feel sorry for the guy He's gotta cook for the ppl <<even luffy's="" bottomless="" pit="" stomach="">> 24-7. Also if Luffy consumed some food outta the fridge secretly Sanji'd have to buy more food and cook it and it just goes on and on…..
Secondly is Nami. Since the Straw Hats spend most of the time sailing the seas, Nami spends her time calculating distances to the destination (say Water 7), keeping track of the compass to make sure they're in the right direction, and looking up new locations. She also is working on her big goal of drawing an accurate map of the world. I wonder if she ever achieved that in the end.</even>

if nami is already drawing her map of the world, she might be very busy, if you add the navigation and all.
sanji may be a bit less busy with his cooking but he works for everybody, which makes him the more useful onboard.
so let's call it a draw for me. of course any other straw hat is out of question. knows the usopp-fans won't agree

dude, i love zoro and all…. but he does hardly anything on that ship... i'd say its between usopp and nami, honestly. sanji does cook, but that's what he loves doing, like some of you have already said. nami seems to take command on occasion, but that's pretty rare. usopp voluntarily works hard to patch up the ship, even though he's not a carpenter, its not part of his job, technically. but he does it because he loves the going merry. so yeah, i'd honestly say usopp is the busiest strawhat. ;p

Sanji: He has to cook for the whole crew and the crew can eat a lot. Plus he is always doing something for soembody, even if it's not cooking.
Nami: She has to keep the ship on course, she has to pot out where they are going next, she makes maps and she is pretty much one of the only smart ones on board.
Chopper: He is always making some kind of medicine and he also has to tend the crews wounds which they seem to really like to get.
Ussop: He fixes the ship and he invents stuff but he is about as lazy as the rest of them.
Luffy: He has to keep everyone in check, not a very hard job for him but being a captain can be stressful at times.
Robin: She is never doing anything, just reading.
Zoro: He is either working out or sleeping, never doing anything productive.

I would have to say Sanji. Like everyone has said he has to cook 3 meals aday and probably snacks. And also all his meals are good so he probably spends alot of time fixing them.
I would then say Nami. She has to keep watch and check constantly to see if they are on course.
Then I would say Ussop. It really depends though. If they are in a big battle and get damaged then I would say he is more busy than Sanji. But since they usually are sailing then he would probably after Nami.
Then Zoro. He trains alot…
Then Robin..she reads alot...
Then Luffy..he plays alot... -
Arara..I voted Usopp. I dunno, always felt Usopp did the most work because of the odd jobs and ship repairing he does.
Now that I think about it Sanji is always busy,but he's so used to cooking, it must not be 'hard' work.

Luffy's job is pretty hard having to protect the ship from sea creatures. And making sure all the food Sanji cooks doesn't go to waste is also a hard job.
