I know, most of you are gonna say the fillers are lame and badly done, but should they at least be given some credit and bits of appreciation? Some of them are pretty good. At least it's better than having no OP airing for weeks because they need to let the manga progress some more.
I like the Ocean Dream arc, DBF fillers, and the G8 arc. And do you think filler characters should have places in any OP games?
Personally I really enjoyed the Davy Back Filler games, the skating and dodgeball were a nice touch. The Ocean Dream arc was interesting, it was a interesting "What If" seeing how the crew would react to eachother if they all just met at once. heh

i personally like ocean's dream and g-8 filler… especially ussop pretending to know and acknowledge shepherd as SH crew and calling him kuntliano.. LOL

OP Tv special 4 is my favourite filler of all, even though it was, admittedly, rehashed material in an AU setting. But it was certainly a nice change from the usual Stawhats-meet-a-boring-old-dude-or-annoying-brat-who-is-being-chased-down-by-a-pirate-or-corrupt-marine-with-a-weird-but-not-Oda-weird-character-design.
Out of the other fillers…hard to say. I find that most are mediocre but they are littered with several good bits that make it watchable. But what's great is that there isn't a lot of OOC-ness and (aside from Zoro cutting steel in Apis arc) barely any continuity errors. We OP fans are quite lucky, as some other anime fillers can be quite bad.
The one filler I couldn't force myself to sit through was that Scorpion man one from Alabasta. Man, that was painful. Oh yeah, and Rainbow Mist was just awful in my opinion.
Ocean's Dream was my favorite filler, and I would've enjoyed it more if it weren't for the annoying little kid. I also liked how it sort of continued on about the dragons in the Apis filler, so it wasn't like you never get to hear anything related to Ryuuji ever again because Ryuuji was filler.

Seeing as how I spend 20 minutes - 4 hours downloading, I find all of the fillers pretty lame, and never bother to catch them. Better than no OP at all? Maybe. But it always stings that instead of using the mini stories they decide to make up stupid shit like memory-stealing seahorses.

I have a friend who is so obsessed with One Piece that she's in love with everything; including fillers. Sometimes (since she only watches the anime) she can't even pick up on what's filler and what isn't.
I can't share those sentiments, though. While I did watch the anime first, I could still pick up on the subpar fillers and I simply don't enjoy them near as much.

I don't mind fillers, if they don't suck. It's just that most of them do. But it is nice that there are additional little stories being created, just as long as they don't interfere with the real story. I don't like it when fillers force the manga story to be changed, like in the case of how the events of the Davy Back Fight were changed.

The DBF, Apis, Rainbow Mist and goatdude arcs were crap. The Ocean Memores was kind of cool, and G8 plain-out ROCKED for non-canon.

I guess i have an open mind to One Piece fillers, they're pretty good especially when compared to other animes (Naruto fillers are unwatchable; RK was killed this way, etc), Usopp vs Daddy being my favorite. 'Lost memories' isn't bad, same for eps 131-135 stuff. But, oh god, that Rainbow Mist arc is the hell. Boring, a much worse storyline than Apis and not only one annoying kid, but a whole bunch of them. Uugh.

I heard it's really Oda's designs, I'm not sure though, but I know for sure that he does the designs for the movies' characters…

By that logic, so is the Buggy story.
fillers should not exist. they should all disappear from this world. what is wrong with having a normal break? like every other show? why does animes needs fillers? it's pretty stupid.

Fillers aren't horrible, it at least gives you something to watch during a break. What I don't like is when they can't produce the new episodes fast enough so they throw in a flashback episode.
Well, if there was one thing I'd correct, I'd say not all are lame. Zoro's past and Logue Town were faulty, but at least they tried and provided some entertainment. Still nothing on Oda, which is to be expected, but it shouldn't be so blatant.

DBF and Memory Loss fillers were great (although the DBF game extension fillers muddled the rules way too much).
Apis, Coby&Helmeppo, and Rainbow Mist fillers were vomit worthy (the first two for being too long, and the latter for just being).
Goatsec filler…eh, not too bad really.
Same as above for Buggy's Adventure.
Have yet to see G8 (I wanna see!! :bawling: ).
The lone character episode fillers varied greatly. I place Usopp's (with the fireworks girl) as the best of them all. Sanji's and Nami's are tied at last place.
One thing that makes me smile in two of the fillers is the fanservice for us ZoSan fans. :love: Makes me wonder how the idea came about with the animation team.

actually lately Its been hard for me to watch the one piece anime mainly cause i personally dont really like sitting through the same story that i have read in the manga. so from time to time I watch OP just for the fillers if they arnt lame or anything, mainly for the "hmm i wonder if this is in character" aspect. I like the specials and movies (movie 6 and the edo period special are some of the best side stories in my own opinion)
My general filler attitude is "Ok; not brilliant" as an average -some of the movies and specials drag the score up, while ohers- and Apis - drags it down, for being too damn dull.
But the only ones I detest are the ones that interfere with the originals storys pacing, and fudge up the buildup. I didn't mind the DBF and Alabasta desert filler that much because you could tell which respective episodes were 100% filler - but the ones in Skypeas Upper Yard, MAN they frustrated me.
It's killer when the flow of the story is disturbed by an absurd amount of traps, Sky-sharks, and Chopper-retrieving a hammer scene. Get ON with it!
In other words, I prefer filler to be found in filler episodes, and not as 30% of a regular one.
im okay with all the fillers. its like one piece movies. heh. the time travel thing in rainbow mist was pretty good in my opinion. at least the time shifting aspect of it.

Well, I would say some fillers should have credit but most of them don't need any credit, some fillers are good but I usally never watch them. I just like watching One Piece, no fillers for me, but I think they be given alittle credit at least.
