About the opening, let's see what they can do. Some Enies Lobby material? And Franky? I predict he'll show up, just not as a Mugiwara. Yet.
Maybe it'll be nakama fun that's unrelated to the plot like Bon Voyage! or Hikari E. Prolly coz the new OP is bound to go into the next arc.

Well, I am happy that "Kokoro no Chizu" is leaving. As many of you said, it's a great opening, but it's been on for way too long.
But… I was hoping for a very high-energy opening this time. Let's see how it turns out.
I don't have a problem with "Kokoro no Chizu" the song, I just want to see a new opener (as in the show itself). Gotta see it. ^_^
I don't really mind if KnC stays or goes, because I like it and it's been there for a long time. I'm interested in seeing the sequence, though. We'll probably see the end of the Luffy-Lucci fight in it.

I can't wait for a new opening… Kokoro no Chizu always seemed kind of badly timed to me (with Galley La antics and no CP9 stuff).

w00t! Its about freaking time! Kokoro No Chizu was a good Op but it was there for too long.
So, its going to be done by a hip-hop group known as D-5….
I am really looking forward to this especially since I love Japanese Hip-Hop.
Given the fact that is's hip-hop, (Man I hate that term) I would expect something along the lines of Pride from Gundam SEED Destiny.
If it's anything like Pride from GSD, I'll be disappointed. The guy in the background of that song killed it for me, so the song never really settled to my liking.

I agree about the backround guy, but this seems like a solo singer, so that shouldn't be a problem. In addition, we'll probaly see in the new OP:

Well, actually, it's not footage from the series. They are scenes from the series, but they're different, higher quality versions of it, not what you see when you watch the episodes.

That title is… very appropriate for One Piece.
After Enies Lobby, it would kind of be like a Brand New World for the Strawhats.
I'm gonna miss Kokoro no Chizu, but the new opening is gonna be interesting. It probably won't show any scenes from Enies Lobby since there isn't much to show without spoiling everything. The thing is it can't really be like Hikari E or Bon Voyage either. Both those openings show the Strawhats cruising around and chillin, but without Merry and since we don't know what the new ship will look like the animators are gonna have to change the classic theme this time and go for something new. Atleast I hope they do.
As long as Sogeking is featured int he animation (as opposed to Usopp) I'll be happy, even if Franky isn't in it (ehich at this point would be odd…then again, Chopper didn't get included into a theme song till ~20 eps after he was introduced)
I'll hold my opinion until I hear the song…
But I'm really anxious to hear how it sounds.

Kokoro no Chizu is a great song, just sometimes breaks dramatic moments.
That song title is….completely appropriate for the events during (and possibly after) Enies Lobby.
I am pumped for that day to come now. Hopefully it will be a great song.
oh awesome! though I honestly love Kokoro No Chizu to death! It always gets me in the mood for One Piece, whether its watching or reading…
but oh man, a hip hop song? sure hope this is good! ^^ I love the title though, "Brand New World" man... so fitting! its going to be so strange yet awesome seeing things that would happen in future episodes... or i at least hope they feature more of Oda's awesome manga spreads (like the giraffe one or the matsuri one)

I wonder just how long this arc will end up being. Probably longer than Skypiea.

While I have liked "Kokoro no Chizu", as well as the consistancy of openings on OP (unlike many anime that pretty much change openings and closings every 13 episodes these days), I do think its about time we do get a new opening to liven things up. While I can't really comment about "chillin' vs. relevancy", remember that four out of the five openings have had clips or blips of characters and scenes connected with events around that point in the anime. ("Hikari E" being the only one without, but seeing that it spoiled Robin's joining while she was still a BW member and the SH were still fighting them) So something tells me we will be getting some Eneis Lobby scenes and probably 70% confirmed they will foreshadow the Gears.

Didn't Bon Voyage last for Skypiea? Sounds like they could have a new OP for Enies Lobby and a little bit beyond.

Isn't it a little soon for a new ending? How many times will this one be played by that time? It really seems like OP goes through endings fast, why is that?
I don't think Kokoro no Chizu was on THAT long… about 58 episodes at least... not that much since Believe got up to around 50 episodes.
Anyway, for the new opening, the only thing I'm afraid of is re-used animation like GSD always did for their openings. But One Piece has never done that, so I'm not too worried. I love all the One Piece openings, chances are I'll enjoy the one as well. But whether it will surpass my love for Kokoro no Chizu has yet to be determined...
