Me and my freinds want to make a horror movie night, but we watched every horror, slasher and monster movie. Then i remembered i watched a great horror film a long time ago. But everything i so blurry. If you guys can help me out with the title and where i could download it.
It's about a couple of scientists in Antartica, where they discover some alien ship or some artifact. I don't know if the alien is a shape shifter, a virus or something else, but the scientist turn into grotesk creatures, like one guys head is cut off, then it grows spider leags and starts attacking people. The only way to know who is a alien, is by mixing somebodys blood with some chemical. That's the only thing i can remeber, i know it's not a lot of information.
Anyway thanks in advance to anybody who knows the title or has information about the movie.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

OMG, i cant believe i watched John Carpenters The Thing without knowing it.
I seen this movie when i was about 11 years old. I was one of the best horror films i ever watched. The only other horror movie that actualy scared me was Event Horizon.
After several years i forgot most stuff about the movie, but when a 11 year old kid sees something like this, it stays with him forever.
Well thanks. Im now going to download and prepare for the horror night:steve: -

It's my mother's fault, she comes to me "come there is a movie with monsters' I didn't see the begining. At the start i wasn't scared, when it ended i was like "thank you mother that was lovely". But it didn't affect me very much, looks around if there are any monsters, like i said im normal.

bah it ended with me watching a whole bunch of bad horror movies while i was a teen, that's all.
on a side note (off topic), the thing that frightened me like hell when i was 10 or alike is when i gave a look at aliens, when the queen cuts bishop in 2 and me not knowing he's not human. my mother wanted me to go to the garage right after that: "hell no!".
even now, when i watch this scene, i remember how much i've been shocked when i was ten.

I only watched a couple of horror movies when i was jung and naive. But this one was the best out of that small list.
off topic.
Did you see Event Horizon, not many people like it, not one of my friends thought it was scary, but it scared me like no other movie. -
i don't even know the name…
-
You should try it, it's a mix between 2001/2010 A Space Odyssey and a little bit of alien.

Meh Event Horizon wasn't really scary I must've first saw that movie when I was 10 or 11 and even then it didn't scare me personally I'm at the point where horror movies no longer scare me
