Questions about the manga-to-anime transition (possible spoilers)

Sometimes the anime changes things, some no big deal and others..not. I wanted to spectifically ask about Franky's flashback. In the anime so far, they've shown everything but the last scene. The bloodied Franky on the abandoned ship, right before he became a cyborg. Will this be cut out completely, or put into another segment, like how the meeting with Franky and Iceburg was shown after the majority of hte flashback. It was bloody scene, but I can imagine ways around it, like maybe showing it fron Franky point-of-view.

Umm… Apparently they cut that out. They've been cutting the more violent parts out lately.

I've seen 245 through part of 258, and yes, appears they cut it out. Also changed his body flying by to just his jacket. Rather lame, if you ask me.

Yes…, it is edited, but better than the American version, if you ask me. Don't forget, Japanese TV law also has codes of what they can show and what they can not.

Toei has been a great deal more careful recently, likely because of the forced cancellation of Bobobo-bo-bobobo due to, of all things, violence!

Also, I liked that scene with the train in the anime. I guess you don't see his body, but I was happy just seeing Franky's googles flying off while he flies into the sky, with Spandam laughing. Great scene.

Well…. word Okama was used in the Anime but this was in the anime original, the one with Apis and Millioin-year dragon (showed between the Logue Town episodes and the reverse mountain). In this series, there was this guy with "Kama-kama no mi" from the word "Kamaitachi" (sharp scar), and Luffy called him Okama.

But when Mr. 2 came out.... the anime crew decided that he should not be Okama, and that word was not even used once. The "Okama way" on the back of his shirt was changed to "Bonkure" and "Okama way" song was changed to "Oh, Come my way" song.... and he was refered by "that hentai" or "that Ballet dancer"

I hear alot about how Bobobo was violent, does anyone have any manga scans or TV screencaps that shows this, I'm curious.

From what I've seen the Bobobo manga has people being stabbed and constantly spewing blood, but it's not violent (haha, bet that makes sense)… It's FUNNY violence, not gory. Bo-bobo is probably my favorite comedy anime I can watch freely on English television, it's sad that it got cancelled (though I already knew). Personally, if there was anything that mothers wouldn't want their children to see in it that would be Serviceman...
