Has anyone here played the GBA game One Piece: Going Baseball? I visited its official site recently and it looks pretty neat. It's so fun to see everyone in baseball uniforms! :biggrin:
So I was asking: Is this game fun and worth playing? If so, I might consider getting (precisely, download) it and play. Any comments on it?
Ummm…. I have seen ripped sprites of that game, so I think you can already find its ROM somewhere. Looking at the sprites, I wouldn't even go near that thing. -.-;
I got the rom.. didn't like it much >_o so I'd say no.
I got the ROM and loved it. The thing is, it takes time to get used to and can be frustrating and difficult at times. However, the gameplay is very good and the teams are awesome. I definitely reccomend downloading it.
I have the rom and I think it's a pretty fun game. Especially putting together a custom team.

Wow, you can have different characters team up on that game? I thought that the members always stay together, such as Team Marine.

You can buy characters for your custom team. I forget my lineup, but it's awesome.
I have the ROM too, and I like it. I'm having a lot of trouble unlocking Shanks' team, though…they're really good. @_@

Wouldn't really call it the best OP game ever it's good but not great.
The one major flaw with this game is that it works with a stamina meter which means that virtually everything you do during the game causes this meter to deplete abd once this happens it'll be harder to use trick pitches & hitting the ball, this is made worse by the fact that each team has 7 players so once your pitcher get tired you'll have to replace him with another player who might also be tired.
I downloaded and it's a blast though the stamina meter is as mentioned a pain.
Also if two character that know eachother face off you get a bit of dialoge

I can't understand it for the life of me but Buggy seems to have this weird obsession with hitting people with Balls.

I played it for alittle, found it insanely boring and gave it up. Did notice its used the same ports as OP: Dragon Dream tho. Now if you want a good OP gba game, you can't go wrong with Dragon Dream.

The character dialogues can get very funny. Especially when you have no idea what they're saying. Kuro and Jango is hilarious, along with Morgan and Helmeppo and Mr. 2 and Crocodile. Such a good game.

Oh God. XD I swear, Buggy hit Hina with the ball twice or three times IN ONE GAME.
And on the topic of character dialogues…these were the only ones I took a picture of, but I remember also getting Ace/Luffy and Sanji/Crocodile for sure. Was really surprised that Yasopp and Usopp don't have one. o_O

Btw, where did you guys find the ROM? I looked on some torrent sites but I only found the Korean version (Which really isn't of much use to me, being that I hardly know any Korean)....

There is this other One Piece RPG for GBA but due to fact that everything is in japanese it makes it hard to play.

You know? I was thinking that if they based this game off the baseball special that came with Movie 5, shouldn't they also make one for the soccer special? Can you imagine it? A OP soccer game?

Treasure battle kinda had a soccer game. But a straight-out OP soccer game would be awesome!
