New K-F releases are basicly dead to me, why?
Cause of this new video/audio format they use, I install and follow there directions to get it to work but it skips a frame or so all the way through and basicly when I play it my computer wants to die on me.
They tried so hard to make things better, AVI was fine, I see no difference in there videos from there old/gerusamas releases. And even if there is, its not needed. If I truely gave a damn I'd start a pretition to return there releases to AVI.

just fuckin' use VLC and if you don't like mp4, you can always re-encode the eps into avi. following their directions didn't work for me neither because my ffshow was fucked up, i found my own way to make it work and now it's perfect. i don't remember how i did but lurking on the web and find a way on your own is better than being pissed off just because you're unable to make your pc work, dude.

Sadly, since ep. 178 VLC is not handling the episodes correctly and they're all glitchy. So yeah, for those who can't watch the new eps, the best option now is download the newest codecs and reencode into avi. Or wait for someone to do that.

I have VLC 0.8.4 and that's it, i don't use the latest codecs and all the episodes run normal.

That's just what I was going to say. The pixelation has stopped when I downloaded the right VLC test. (it wasn't the latest one at the time, the audio didn't work.) But when provided the link to the right test, it played smoothly, and the audio worked just fine. It hasn't given me troubles yet.

I'm a big fan of the CCCP pack, been using it for a while and I've yet to have had a problem with a MP4 file or with a X264 encode, or any video for that matter. If you're having trouble with VLC, I would suggest CCCP a try if you haven't already.

Uh, is it just me… or does the "dramatization" effects a bit over in this episode? Great animation and artwork, though. And I adore KF's "lightning font" for Enel's moves.

You probably mean the scene that shows Robin´s, Zoro´s, Wiper´s and Gun Fall´s reaction after Enel told them what he was planning with Upper Yard right? If that´s the case I found it too a bit…don´t really know which word to use but it just was somehow:
However what was really annoying was the miserable voice acting for Gun Fall when he was yelling at Enel. I mean if I would run the scene in mute I would expect the voice to be loud, mad and menacing at Enel but I just couldn´t help but envision the voice actor sit relaxed in his box and drink some coffee while he´s speaking his lines. He really didn´t get the emotions over in this scene. That´s actually exactly how standard german voice acting looks like. It´s really disappointing to see it in the original version of the One Piece anime.

Not just that… Like, when Zoro attacked Enel. I remember seeing green circles emanating from the ground or stuff like that >.>
And the part where Zoro saves Robin... I find it weird that he swings his swords around at first.... when all he had to do is RUN. It maybe just me.

Yeah right, forgot about the green circles. Well yes, that certainly gave me a WTF? moment. I mean I still don´t know what that effect was good for.
And I just had to check back about the Robin saving scene. Didn´t remember that one even after you mentioned it. Hell yeah you were right! It most definitely is weird. It´s not just you.
