The X files after Mulder was abducted, Scully became the believer and the appearance of the "super soldiers". Plus the last episode was a major letdown, ok it tried to explain everything that happend in 9 seasons, but come on

Personally I like the first season of family guy the best, so I'll say it jumped the shark after that. The first season, little stuey, was an evil talking baby trying to take over the world and destroy his mom. Now he's a little walking pervert. not as funny to me. Also, i think the show relies to heavily on shock value to get a laugh now. Not that I hate it now…it was just better before.

Some think that Family Guy jumped when it came back last year. I don't think it's gone downhill, it had been 3 years so the writers were a bit rusty.

Well I for one hate the first season, the jokes were stale & the voices sucked but since then everything has improved for the better, now if FOX can stop their crap and keep bringing on the new episodes (eventhough this would be suicide.)

never see all grown up. Nick jumped the shark as a network when all their good shows got cancelled in favor of the stuff that they have on TV now. I grew up on ren and stimpy and wild and crazy kids etc and they took that kind of shit off the air :(

If you think that's bad then you obviously haven't heard about Fairly Oddparents & Jimmy Neutron which will both come to an end with the 3rd Jimmy/Timmy Power Hour crossover :annoy: both of these shows haven't even hit 100 episodes and are being written off so soon.

Thank you. Rugrats was great, and was one of the few things on Nick worth watching, and anyone of any age could enjoy it on some level. But then they grew up. Now instead of a series were you had these toddlers going on these adventures and seeing the world through their perspective, you have a generic series of "tweens"(man do I hate that word) going through genreic plots and eveuntually learning a lesson by the end of the episode, only to forget it by the next.
And for the fans of classic nick(who isn't?) …...

Hate to break this to you Warp but "The Batman" and "Batman" TAS are two diffrent shows hence the reason why all the VA's from the TAS don't reprise their roles in "The Batman".
Unless you mean they changed his voice actor in the new series, which I don't if it happened I stopped watching it when they moved it to a new time slot

ALAX MACK! Why did they ever stop showing that? I love that show so much!.. Ren and Stimpy ;__;… Rocko sobs... man I wish there was some classic station that showed all these.. but I had no idea Nickelodeon studios was shut down O_o;

- The Behind The Laughter episode.
- When SnowBall II died.
- When Santa's Little Helper had another set of puppies.
-The Armin Tamzarian episode is the worst Simpsons ep EVER and they acknowledge that. In fact, they make fun of that episode a few times afterwards.
-The Behind the Laughter episode was great. Even won an Emmy.
-The Snowball II episode was kind of on the same level as teh Tamzarian one, but they kinda acknowledge that at the end where Lisa just names the last one Snowball II.
-And I had no idea SLH had ANOTHER set of puppies. But that's SO inconsequential that it really doesn't matter at all.

No no Tom Kenny is still Spongebob it's just that if you compare earlier episodes of Spongebob with the new episodes Spongebob SpongeBob just doesn't sound the same, this especially becomes apparent when you watch the movie.

Well it sort of plays a hand in the main plot in one of the episodes. After deciding not to take care of all the dogs Lisa & Bart decide to give them away
(with no regrets afterwards).One of the people who they happen to give the a puppy to is Krusty who that episode focuses on.
Gargoyles sailed right over the shark when it moved from weekdays to Saturday morning.

The storyline so incredibly complicated that every episode opened with a recap of previous events. The high-aiming allusions. Complex villians with deep backstories.
The only episode which was remotely interestiong of the last season was the one where Goliath is put on trial, and I have to wonder if that was meant to be pointlessly patriotic.

i was just thinking that as a matter of fact when i read the topic of the title again, wierd. I dont think that that point was the jump the shark moment because i happen to like the movie but soon afterwards there did seem to me a decline in the quality of the show

Well shows can JTS when they're turned into movies i.e. The X-Files, Rocky & Bullwinkle Cough The Flintstones Cough.
wasnt the flintstones over for years before that movie came out? I dont think it is jumping the shark at that point. Rocky and Bullwinkle is the same kind of thing but i would never get near enough to that film to even see the opening credits. I never saw the x-files movie but i watch some of the earlier season episodes and i must say that was one hell of a show. Pretty much, but the show survived through spinoffs and what not, sort of similiar to how when an anime ends & is continued or concluded through OVAs or specials there must've been at least 5 or 6 Flintstone movies the ones of any consequence being I Yabba Dabba Do & Rock-A-Bye-Baby

X-Files jumped the shark plenty of times so I don't really know what's the top JTS moment, I used to watch the show when I was about 7 or 8 but stopped after awhile but I did watch during the final season. And the actor's name is Robert Patrick.

1999 wasn't a bad year for the WWF but I still say the Ministry Storyline was a JTS moment.
