Someone help me translate this to English

Gold D. Roger is probably the most important character in OP, but he has the fewest lines in the story. (And I need help translating following quote)

This quote is from Vol. 12 on very first page, when Dragon Appears:

受け継がれゆく意志
時代のうねり、
人の夢。
これは止めることの出来ない物だ。
人々が自由の答えを求める限り
これはけして留まることはない。

Word-to-word translation goes:
“Will that passes on, happing of the era, and people’s dream. These can not be stopped…as long as people look for the answer to the freedom.”

AND if we try to make this into a sentence, the best I can come up with is:
“Dreams will pass on, as time will elapse…. People will be looking for freedom…and the answer”

But there is a big problem with my later translation, since three components of the quote represents the next three events in the OP

受け継がれゆく意志(will that passes on)
Drum Island and how Dr. Hiruruku’s idea of “cherry blossom in Snow Island” passed on to Dr. kureha, to people in the Drum Island, and to Choppa

時代のうねり(happing of the era)
Arabasta and how people fought against the Arabasta kingdom for the rain

人の夢(people’s dream)
Skypiea and how people dreamed about the Golden City, Shandora.

If you consider this fact, my translation does not work out at all. I think this is the one of the most powerful quotes of Gol D. Roger. Can any of you come up with a better English line?

"These are people who cannot be stopped.
Inherited Will
Human Dreams
Movement of the Times
They search to their utmost ability to find the answer to 'freedom'.
Those are the ones who can never be stopped."

From K-F:

"Inherited Will.
The Destiny of the Age and the Dreams of its People.
These will never be stopped.
As long as People continue to pursue the Meaning of Freedom,
They will never cease to be!"

Well, I don´t speak japanese but the limited knowledge I have of the kana´s made it look to me that Rogers lines in the "Believe" opening are exactly as the text you´ve just quoted from ch. 100.

And normally I would prefer Stephen´s versions but since he himself said that the language he usesin between volumes 9 and 17 is foul, I have to problems to admit that K-F´s version sounds a bit more catchy. I´m not sayint though which one is the more proper translation. I think that both versions show what should be the core meaning here anyways. :happy:

Although, I do not watch the anime version… yes, I am pretty sure this is the quote used in the opening of the "BELIEVE" song.
