I don't understand how something painfully generic like Black Clover manage to succeed in Jump tho

I'd argue both of them while flawed are way more interesting than Fairy Tail x Naruto

I would say black clover takes all the bad tropes and makes it good/tolerable at least compared to stuff like fairy tail and bleach when things just don't make sense. Can't blame the series when certain series made tropes horrible for other reasons

On demons plan tho, that was just a train wreck waiting to happen when shit didn't even start to make sense at the 2nd chapter

Edit: generic is not always a bad thing, especially in shounen

how did Asta arm's heal so fast after saying it was destroyed? shouldn't they use the same magic to heal the dancer and singer from underwater temple? and the flame captain that have in coma for ages?
how did he take control of the demon's power just a couple of second after meeting the demon for the very first time?
how is he able to bounce back magic attack with his swords when his sword is suppose to nullify magic?
how did he happen to stumble upon a sword that can fire magic attacks while been randomly thrown from side to side in a dungeon?
how is he able to enter the spatial magic while holding his nullifying sword?

I know generic isn't bad, I said it was painfully generic, meaning it follows the battle shonen formula so strictly
