@Senshi:

Proving that Blizzard really knows how to jump on a marketing opporitunity
And hey, that episode made me dust off Diablo II.
-
"Gentleman, we are dealing with someone here…. who has absolutey no life."
"How do you kill someone who has no life?" XD
I bet that episode did draw in a lot of new people. They actually made the game look a lot more fun and cool than it actually is. I mean besides the becoming fat blobs with no life part. When you play the game you mostly stare at your character's ass.
-
what's the title/number of the episode. I wanna look it up on youtube tomorrow.
-
Just type in World of Warcraft South Park
But I think it was S10 E8.
-
Okay the episode was called "Make Love, Not Warcraft," is episode 147 and the production number is 1008.
-
You know we could give him a link
PART 1
PART 2
PART 3
-
you could….........if I were a dude. :3
wow, I feel so informed:wub: -
I was a little bit let down by the WoW episode because they didn't really tear into it as much as I'd thought they would.
Do you think that's because Blizzard was actually cool about letting them use their material? I was surprised they let it even be shed in the light that it was.
But that line. "The end of the world….of warcraft."
You knew it was coming. You could see it a mile away. There was no way it could have taken Hellen Keller by surprise. And yet...when it came.....it was amazing.
-
WoW episode was awesome, especially cuz I know some dudes obsessed with it. I'll stick with non-line RPGs, tnx
-
lmao, that was the best episode ever.
-

From everything I've heard/read it was more or less a product placement deal.
-
they never actually based Blizzard at all during it just the people that play MMO's to no end
-

Somehow I don't think they're that low. I mean, while the game got plenty of screen time, allowing them to bash the hell out of players and tool the graphics is sweet.
Yeah it got screen time….BUT AT WHAT COST!? ^O^
I think their message is clear though. They love the game and it's sweet. Just don't lose your life over it.
-
It's not like this is the first time WoW and other MMORPGs have been shown in this light.
-
Oh sweet Jesus. Has anyone read the description of this week?
Loose Change is in their sights.
-
HAHAHA Loose Change.
-
AWSOME can't wait
-
The best South Park episode ever it's even more better than Good times with weapons episode
-
Wow, I'm convinced they're getting their ideas from Maddox now.
-
…Mackey made this episode. He owned...and surprisingly the Hardley Boys.
"I got a clue." "Oh I got a rigid clue." "I almost shot clue goo all over Joe"Great epiosde.
-
I thought the recent episode was kinda boring… Except for the Hardly boys.
-
I thought it was sort of funny. Anime Master's right, Mr. Mackey stole the show in this one.
Dick Cheney fires a crossbow, but hits the fire alarm
Bush: Dammit, Cheney!
Cheney: I missed again! -
Wow, I'm convinced they're getting their ideas from Maddox now.
It's a conspiracy.
Wow, that was twenty kinds of awesome all mixed together in one big pile of god-like Super Awesome.
-
I thought the recent episode was kinda boring… Except for the Hardly boys.
…Really?!
yeah you probably didn't enjoy that part either.
I thought the newest episode was a decent episode. How much longer are Matt and Trey under contract with Comedy Central BTW?
-
hahaha, this ep was so much better than last weeks, nice to see Mackey back too, aint seen him for a while I dun think…
also, was that a new opening theme?
-
For some reason, when Kyle was saying "…Really?" I thought of Chopper and his pronounced "Hounto?"
And didn't a member of this forum start a thread that about one of those conspiracies? I've heard all of those theories before, and came to the conclusion of what Stan said....It was a bunch of pissed off Muslims.
-
well, that didn't take long
One of the PVP rewards from the expansion. They must have had this planned ahead from the episode.
-
I was watching the new episode again tonight, and they changed Bush's voice to a southern accent.
-
IGNORING ALL DISCUSSION SO FAR:
When the stupidity of society increases, so does South Park's humour.
-
Kei, that's awesome.
Dragon, REALLY!? Wow, strange.
-
Last night's episode made me wonder what the hell Trey and Matt were thinking when they came up with that idea. It was surprising and funny seeing Ike in a relationship with his teacher. Cartman as the hall monitor was a win, too.
-
Well, if you paid attention to the news not long ago, you would remember stories about a teacher in a relationship with one of her students. And many people reacted the same way that the police and other townsfolk reacted. ..Thinking that it doesn't harm the boy.
It was basically pointing out the hipocracy of people having opposite reactions to a situation when the gender roles are reversed.
-
There are dozens of teachers having relationships with students on the news these days. Jay Leno knows that.
-
It was Ike? Wow I would've guessed butters but Ike didn't see thats coming.

Meh, I barely follow the news. But, I do remember hearing about a teacher doing the same thing a few years ago. What I meant to say that I was surprised that it was Ike.

The point behind that was basically to point out the stupidity in such relationships by the mantra:
"Age is just a number."
Well if that's true then this should be just okie-dokie right?
Heheh, they're too great. Cartman was perfect in every scene this episode.
-
Well, since I live in Tennessee, I heard about this particular case often:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pamela_Rogers_Turner
The episode brought it to mind. I also heard lots of jokes about the kid being lucky and all that, since she was considered by many to be attractive (similar to in this episode). Of course the kid was 13 instead of Ike's age.
There were probably several similar cases in other places though.
-
saw the new ep this morning, I must admit that it wasn't very good, although that might have been because I hadn't heard of most of the famous people in the ep. Although Satan acting like a spoilt kid was funny.
-
I thought that was funny, too. The highlights of the episode were everyone summoning Biggiesmalls, and those 3 serial killers as the Three Stooges.
-
Another awesome stupid spoiled whore episode.
I like when they do these episodes that don't have a particular objective other than to just be obnoxious. They make a good break between their heavier topics.
The highlight was without a doubt:
"GODDAMNIT WHAT DIDN'T DIDDY DO!!??"
Is it just me? Am I the last of the Mel Brooksian school of laughs? I just love crap like that.
-
I don't ussually follow southpark unless I'm wasted on my couch and the reruns are on at like.. 3am or whatever crazy time CW puts them on. But I did take time to watch the scientology episode, and the world of warcraft episode, I thought those two were brilliant.
I mean.. I don't see why banning them was so important, if anything more people have probably seen the episode now that it's banned than before. But I guess in some screwed up thought-process it made whoever made the decision feel better.
-
only the scientology one was banned
and yeah taking it off the air only shows that you fear what they have to say
-
and yeah taking it off the air only shows that you fear what they have to say
Nah, it shows they fear Tom Cruise. Dun blame 'em. ^O^
-
I meant the scientology people fear them not the other way around
-
I like the whole Mohammad thing that happend right after scientology. It really shows how terrorism is working…
-
You know whats hilarious?
The fact that matt and trey are conservatives
The show basically lampoons everything and everyoneAnd does it in a "OVERTHETOP" manner
<3 it
i hope they go even farther
-
The scientologist isnt banned. They aired it again in August and September. Comedy Central didnt air it deliberatly as an in-joke, or so the claimed.
The only episodes that have yet to air a second time on CC is Bloody Mary, The Terrance and Phillip april fools day episode, Jared has Aides, and Pip.
Thats it. -
They don't rerun Jared Has Aides!!!??? That was so lame/good!
-
Never seen that episode, dont really like SP however i mean they joke about everything and NOW Chef quits coz they happen to joke about his belifs or something, man what a hypocrit (spelling) instead of just taking it personal you should have todl them to stop long time ago Mr. Chef, anyway the only SP episode that i liked (mostly of the part, sure there where elements of bad pop humor as always that 13 year old kids like) is the WoW episode.
