What do you mean? Page 5 ? Califa DOES use Tekkai ,thats the reason for Sanji's bledding ,but you might be right about Glass Logia ,but it wasn't confirmed yet ,since Sanji is still able to move it may also be jelly Logia .

Chopper used his strongest attack twice on Kumadori (that's the attack he used against Gedatsu, right?). We're going to see new techs from him if Kumadori stands up again.
Sanji pretty much owned Kalifa in foot-to-foot combat. Seems like he will never ever hit a woman after all. I hope he still gets to fight another CP9 (maybe Fukurou, since I'd prefer Franky to fight Spandam rather than him).
As for Gear 3, we still don't know if it's this chibi form, or if the chibi form is the result of it…

Chibi form in my opinion isn't apart of Gear 3, probley some effect in the gate of justice that takes away your body muscle and in my opinion Luffy hasn't realised it.

Maybe his chibi form was brought about his reaction to water? When he was drowning that is. When he attempted Gear 3 that caused him to reduce in size. Thats what i think anyway.

I still can't see what kind of fruit Kalifa got. Sanji looks misshapen, like his chest grew smaller or something, and he can't be covered with glass as he couldn't move or breath or talk for that matter, nor can he be actual glass as he would have shatterd against the ground and would be dead. Damn it's driving me crazy, we've got hints but I can't figure out what are Kalifa's powers. And 2 weeks, maybe more, before we can find out…

I'm really glad chopper's stepped up his game cos iv'e been hearing some people saying that he's not one of the main fighters. In my opinion chopper is capable of doing so much damage but he doesn't realise his potential until he's really worked up and pissed off. And I hope that we see a new technique from each of them after all each of the cp9 seems to be developing new techniques themself so would help. Plus nami looks like she's gonna kick kalifa black and blue alll over this is serious and I like the way all of the usually cowardice characters (nami,chopper and ussopp) are taking it seriously and ready to kick ass.

that's exactly the point. him being unable to hurt a woman is part of one of his characters' main foundations. The moment he loses that his character is in the pits. I mean what would Sanji be without his behaviour towards women? two thirds of his dialogues would get cut. All that would remain is zoro baiting, talking about the All Blue and childhood stories from the north blue. Everything else is in some way coloured by his affection for women.
He has to stay the way he is. The sanji this chapter rocked in my eyes. -

Cool chapter. The Sanji-Calipha fight was cool. Sanji pretty much seemed to own her a couple of times but didn´t get the job done because of his attitude towards women.
Chopper putting his (so far) most powerful attack on Kumadori on suprise was also cool. And that Kumadori stood up a couple of moments later is also cool because it shows that he can take some hits.
Gear 3rd was a totally unexpected surprise. I don´t know what to think of it really yet. At least it didn´t turn out to be what I was fearing all along, meaning Luffy will just look the same as always, just be even faster and stronger then in Gear 2nd. But that Luffy turns into a chibi is somehow a cool thing and it turns actually my whole look on the Gears in general. It doesn´t seem such a liniar power increase as for instance Super Saiyajin levels. If that really is the case then I´m not disappointed at all that there´s more then just one Gear. In fact then I wouldn´t mind even more gears because then they would really appear to be some sort of special moves/skills instead of SSJ power ups. Only time will tell.
As far as the title story is concerned. So it appears that Crocodile and Daz really aren´t escaping. I don´t know what the reason for that might be but I like it. With this very move Crocodile doesn´t lose his pimp status. He just remains in what is left of his cell and lights a cigar. That´s a pimp. It would be cool to know what is going through his head right now but so far I´m really satisfied that he didn´t chose to escape. This is even better then my hope that Goldenweek doesn´t free him and Daz.

It seems that chopper strenght uses a reverse law since he is an animal with the human zoan fruit.
Chopper Reindeer Form–-> More Strongest but the worse form for a fight
Chopper man form---> Best for fightning but less stronger.Thanks to the use of the Rumble Ball Chopper can get a form where he can fight correctly and with a similar strenght compared to his reindeer strenght, this is why the Rumble Ball is a good idea on Chopper.
If Kaku, Jyabura or Lucci use the rumble ball they get less power since the transformation in animal improves their strenght and speed.

No way , I must say I back up Selphish on this:

That said, I do not condone abuse.
As someone pointed out earlier, Robin should have been the motivation for defeating Califa.She's in the most danger at the moment. If incapacitating Califa meant saving Robin, then the choise should have beeb easy.

Sanji is more powerful than that and I believe that his skill level is at the same level of Kaku and Jyabura. His fight against Calipha is difficult for him because Calipha is a woman, if Sanji fights against Kumadori instead of Kalipha Kumadori could be out now.

i like the fact that sanji has an inherent flaw that he can't get rid of, and i'm sure some people do too. sanji suddenly breaking his principles is just so out of character, and that would ruin his character entirely.
plus, it's not like he's completely not fighting her. the first few pages were so painful to look at. he KNOWS he can own her. he delivered two massive blows (oh the sexual innuendos XD) to her, one just got stopped at the very last moment and the other one was purposely delivered to miss her by just a slight bit. he wanted to show her that he can defeat her easy, but he just couldn't because that would be against his principles.
and his line "even if i die, i will not harm a woman." goes up there with luffy's "even if i die, i will keep pursuing my dream" and zoro's "even if i die, i will become the world's strongest swordsman."

Perhaps Califa has the butterfly zoan. And what we see Sanji encased in is perhaps the beginning stages of a butterfly cocoon, which is the time when they're really shiny.

I'm with e1n on Sanji, he can take her, you can almost see the struggle painted on his face. He needs to defeat her to rescue Robin but at the same time his code of honour as it were means he won't hit her. Much respect to Sanji for standing behind his morals.
Seeing Chopper taking on Kumadori was a surprise, hadn;t expected him to be that capable.
Luffy turning up half drowned was classic and gear 3 doesn;t seem to have been overkill either.
Overall a great chapter, now we get Nami v Calipha to look forward to as well

But by not harming Califa he IS actually harming Robin ,I also woulndt like it if Sanji would hit Califa ,but I would have found it way Better if he would have found a way to incapacitate Califa without hitting her i.e. ruining his Character (I mean part of his Character is the fact that he is a Tactician ,see arabasta&mister Prince),by getting beatet just like that he appears as an Idiot and even as a Masochist.
I recognise you see it different and I respect that ,but that's the way it looks for me.

From what it looks like to me, it seems that Kumadori didn´t do Tekkai. He´s actually quite strong IMO if he can take Choppers so far strongest known attack and stand up again.
What I´m curious about is what those white thingies on Sanji´s hair, arms and torso is on page 11. :molly:

Yeh, I agree with e1n, I think people were way too harsh on him in the spoiler thread. Seeing the full chapter now, you can see he wasn't just taking it with a goofy love-struck face and it wasn't like he was out classed from the start, his sort of "I'm not fucking around" shot on pg. 5 was a clear indicator of that. Though Calipha's Shigan/Rankyaku follow up was pretty damn devastating.
Personally, I would think the internal struggle for Sanji would be even more excruciating & painful then the real fight. But yeh, the dude's got unwavering principles, which he'd be willing to lose his life over to keep intact. It might sound stupid to some, but I've got nothing but respect for that.

They probably tossed a rope or something at him and pulled him out. True it all happens out of a sudden from one panel to the next one without something in between, but sometimes such jumps have to be made in order to get the more important stuff in the chapter. I´m sure the anime will fill this part adecuately.

From what I can tell it appears not to be a boat after all but a docking station. It makes sense actually because the tunnel has to get somewhere. If it is the boat then the tunnel would end in the ocean.
The boat is probably located at the docking station.
