I been locking what movies are going to come out in the next years.
On IMDB i found this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0472181/. I have nothing against the smurfs, i loved them when i was a small kid. But why do they have to make a movie? why CGI? :wacko:

hangs head The only reason to care about the Smurfs anymore is nostalgia reasons. Kids today I highly doubt will get into it.
And yes, they really do have to stop making everything we used to love into CGI.

The Smurfs are a classic that are rarely shown these days. Their target audience are younger kids, kids that have most likely never even seen a smurf and have only heard of it when an older sibling refers to "the good ol' days"..
and it's in CGI?! come on, first you want to bring back a classic and then you want to butt rape what is special about them?!
just let things the good things go…instead of trying to suck money out if it!

It's getting so irritating that their making only CGI movies, it's like the "cool" thing to do, kids will like "cool" CGI. The story can suck, and the characters are irrelevant as long their is cool CGI. :dry:

I hate does stupid studios how want to get cash, and are investing in CGI. They think if they make CGI movies, it will be a instant success, just because Shrek and Nemo made lots of money.

CG Garfield was atrocious. I loved the original format. The Smurfs, however, I cannot stand in any shape or form.
