My cousin Loved Mortal Kombat. His little brother, who was 2 at the time, would watch his older brother, and walk around saying "mortal Kombat punch his head off" seeing a 2 year old walk around and say that, is pretty darn funny.

Unfortunally I don´t have any idea what MAME is.
One of a handful of arcade emulators capable of playing a bunch of arcade video games (a bit dificult to work with though.)
Unfortunally I don´t have any idea what MAME is.
To add to Sandai Mera's post, read this.

I don't know what Operating System you use, but I am on Windows XP and I use MAME32.
There's one other game that I made really, really far into, but finally ran out of quarters before I could finish it. I never can remember it's name despite looking it up several times, but it had a James Bond theme and started with you leaping out of a plane and fighting enemy agents on the way down.
I actually played that game and i cant remember the name of it either; I neverr really made it too far, but i remember getting to that darn shark in the second level and running out of ammo and ending up having to fight with this puny little blade the size of an ice pick…
as far as oldchool... golden axe!!!! i loooove that game, especially the second one for the arcade called revenge of death adder!!!
also rememeber the punisher side scroller?
and yea, final fiht all the way
Ah, PUNISHER. I knew I forgot something. I can't even count all the times I'd jump off of the jungle gym and footsweep a friend of mine.
oh aand captain commando
Sighs my NES stopped turning on like 6 months ago…I got it from a friend when I was like 6 or something..(1996)
So I guess if I want to play old school I'd have to download an emulator and roms.
Anyone wanna recommend a kickass game?
There's a "knock off NES" on the market, under the trade name Neo Fami. I bought one recently for about 30 USD. They make a version with a Famicom compatible slot and one with a NES-compatible slot; the former is frequently sold with an adaptor card so American cartridges work. I bought the latter.
It's more reliable than my old NES ever was, comes with two new controllers in the box (which are indifferent to poor, but OTOH, aren't worn out), and plays most games (the original 1983 Pinball and Paperboy don't work right, but everything else I've tried does). The only issue is slightly different sound profile.

I have some really good ones
Contra
Life Force
Pro Wrestling
Monster Party !!!
Megaman 2
Kirby's Adventure
Ninja Gaiden 1
Wizard and Warriors
thats all I can think of right now … I'll go check my NES games that are up in my closet today. I have like 25 games and my NES still works :o
But it stays on for like a good half hour. cuz one time I tried to play Megaman2 , I used a code to Dr.Wily .. and i was actually able to get to the end of the game! but when I was fighting wily in the robot form .. it was all blurry and then it resetted. and my sister was playing Wizards and Warriors and got to the end of the game after 2 and a half hours. and suprisingly the system never shut down or messed the screen.
I have like 2 other ones that I might but up on ebay unless any of you guys wanna buy it.
I second the notion for Secret of Mana. That game is a true classic. An awesome RPG, with the capacity for three-player play. Still, I'm surprised as heck no one has mentioned these two, especially the second:
Shining Force
Shining Force 2
These got me addicted to my old Megadrive.
Plus if we're talking about the old PS1, the Suikoden Series OWNS Final Fantasy.
Suikoden
Suikoden 2
Suikoden 2 is one of my two fave RPGs of all time.
I remember I used to play Bionic Commando all the damn time. It took me a long time after I looked up the game again after my NES broke that Hitler was the last boss. I just never really noticed while playing it back then.
ok, i hope someone here can help cos this is bugging me:
there's this arcade game I played a bunch of times and i can't remember what it's called for the life of me.
The setup is very similar to Bobble Bubble but instead the character has this vacuum cleaner contraption that sucks enemies in and allows you to hold them for a short time to shoot the at other enemies on the screen.
if anyone knows about this game pleeeeaase leeme know what the heck it's called thanks
