i have.. a poem.

Dearest, You Fool Nobody

Dearest, you fool nobody

You veil your scar beneath the material of your shirt
But your flesh protrudes as I scavenge your skin
You cover your frown by biting your lip
But it hurts that it bleeds that it pierces your mouth
You hide your tears with a quick shut of your lids
But â€“ oh, what is that?
I fool you; and you open your eyes

Dearest, see

Let me show you what I can do

I am a magician, a dancer, the ghost of woman in lust
I can conjure your happiness out of nothingness
Walk beside you in your fellowship of sorrow
Scatter with you in pieces as a part of one beautiful puzzle

So let me

Be your peace
Be your love

Be mine and only

My yearn is You
Your kiss is Me
Our love is as soft as the softly idiots We

Dearest, do you see?

Do not try

You cannot fool me

It's well written, methinks. I especially like the fact that you "played" with the verses' format, changing the style throughout the poem.

I don't know your gender, but I can picture a ghost of a woman dressed in an ample white dress reciting this to her lover, whom she left for the afterlife….well at least this is what I felt.

Good job, I hope you'll write more!

freeform poetry is definitely the style i'm most comfortable with. i can break all grammatical rules and deny the grammatical faults by saying "why not? it's my style!" when in fact, i actually suck at it. >.>

it's just like how capitalization and punctuation marks help you finish sentences you're not smart enough to finish.

perhaps this was a dramatic and historic find he had made. perhaps if he were to return to the city and announce this discovery he would be welcomed back, given a new motherboard after all and allowed to believe–-to believe---believe what? he paused, blinked, and shook his head to clear a momentary system error.
