Been trying to rekindle my love for art, so I started with going back to some really REALLY old artwork, circa 1999…

I have no idea what compelled me to draw this girl, but I believe being really into Bust A Groove at the time might have something to do with it. So in redrawing the character, I decided to draw her as whatever she should have been; a dancer. Break dancing seemed like a fun thing to draw, so here we are. I plan on inking and coloring this, so hopefully it will turn out pretty cool.

I did not want to draw her in that boring old outfit, so I decided she should have baggy pants. She is break dancing after all, so it seems more appropriate. I was having too much fun with the references I found.

Umm, don't ask where her other arm is, I tried to figure out the placement in the original photo, but it just… is not visible. Just pretend its conveniently behind her other arm and part of her body.

Again, will ink and color this soon.

I like the first break dancer more. the hair, the boobs, and just the position. can't wait to see the second one colored though. that's a really interesting perspective with that leg there.

btw, how old were you when you did those first drawings. wow. like night and day, huh.
