My friend just told me about the intact preserved remains found recently in icy mountain in Rumania, which believed to be dragons, in the Discovery Channel. Anyone else seen this? Because I don't subscribe cable at my place so I can't see it myself.
Further autopsy indicates that it has lung-alike organs to hold hydrogen and methane, two highly flammable gasses to help it fly and, as we know in myths, to breathe fire. And furthermore, even though believed to be carnivorous, it has molar teeth and on those were platinum rocks which believed to be the flint.

      Yikes..

You go that way! I go home.

What you saw was a cleverly made documentary about what would happen if dragons were real. I initially recongized the documentary as such, but after watching about an hour of it, I was actually fooled into logging onto the Discovery channel website to confirm what the fudge I had just seen.

It's really well done, actually. However, dragons remain fictional reptiles.

Drinking is fun late at night, I agree, but take it easy…

Anyway, didn't Steve Irwin try to get close to some komodo dragons before? I forget if it was him or not, but I remember watching someone being chased around by one or two. I couldn't help but laugh.

Wasn't that a "Jackass" episode where Johnny Knoxville was dressed as a knight?

I saw an even better dragon program on the history channel.

They said that a lot of places around the world all share the same belief of dragons. And there are so man cultures which tell stories of dragons.

But one of the possibilities that they came up with is that the reason why people believed in dragons was because back when people were still evolving, they were afraid of three things. Tigers, snakes, and Eagles.. and dragons were just a combination of those three predators.

So that fear was actually genetic, and eventually all three of the animals just came together in peoples minds.. and that's where they said the stories and stuff like that came from. But I like to believe that there is just more to this world then just blaming our biological roots.

Thank you snow_yeti for the awesome av/sig <3

I remember I was always one who defended dragons and said how they were misunderstood by society (yes I do like the film Dragonheart and yes I did have too much time when I was a kid).

But I remember reading once how there was a guy who reported seeing the last dragon back in the 1920s, he said it was described as "a large winged lizard"…this guy ended coming up with a study called Draco/Dragonology.

i too saw the movie dragon heart. i actually did think it was pretty good..i still remember the scene where..nevermind. but anyway sure people report sightings of dragons. people also report seeing the loch ness monster but no one really has. i am one who would like to believe that there are/were dragons but i don't. although i guess there were some winged dinosaurs that you could classify as dragons minus the fire breathing ability.

Well, Komodo Dragons are not poisonous in the traditional sense but their mouths are so full of different kinds of highly infective bacteria (from eating carrion) that when prey in the wild gets bitten it´s as good as dead. The Komodo just follows it until it dies of infection. They have been known to take children and attack when they see red colour or smell blood. The stupidity of annoying one is quite beyond belief. 👅
