I've so far seen Chibi Buggy & Coby's mini arcs in the manga shown in the anime.
What about Hatchi's (sp?), Gedatsu, Ace & Wapol's mini arcs? Have they been showin the anime?

None were animated. Coby's arc didn't go well with the fans, even thought it was Oda work. This is why filler is now common for in-betweens of arcs, but not the ministories. People need Luffy, apparently.

Oh, so that's the reason? The "Coby-Helmeppo" side story got bad ratings in Japan so Toei decided to skip the other side-stories?

Pretty much, yeah*. Kinda sucks that Toei decided to animate the Coby-Helmeppo story, when those guys were really minor characters and the other mini-arcs were considerably more important (Buggy, GW) or featured favoured characters (Ace).
*This is the same logic behind the Naruto filler, in which Naruto is in every episode. The animation companies don't like fluctuations in viewer attendance, so they try to stick to their formulae; even though the other Genin teams for Naruto are interesting, Pierrot feels that such is too risky an endeavour to make. Hence, a whole season of bad filler.

I haven't read the manga yet. Are the side stories included with the regular manga, or are they printed seperately?

The side stories are on the cover of each chapter before the actual chapter starts. They are also called "mini-stories" since they only happen one page per week.

Man, sucks that Coby's arc wasn't good in the anime, I really liked it in the manga! Looks like I'm gonna have to tell my bros about the mini arcs after each chapter. With the exception of Ms. Goldenweek's which I will tell them when the CP9 saga starts hee, hee.

Well, every character that isn't a Strawhat should be grouped into the "minor character" category. Smoker's a frequent, but I hardly call him "major". I would if he were in the army. :laugh:

Back then when it got animated there was only those two (Buggy and CobyMeppo) title page stories so they there´s no wonder they couldn´t do Ace´s. It wasn´t even in the manga back then.
As far as I´ve heard it from the people here not even the (Jango/Fullbody) thing was finished in the manga when the anime started with the first episodes of Arabasta. That´s why there wasn´t any Jango/Fullbody filler between Drum and Arabasta. The timing would have been good to have it but the story wasn´t finished yet.

I'd love to see Wapols and Goldenweeks sidestories animated, but personallly with Buggy's and Coby's stories, i thought they were better in the manga. They don't have any dialog which i thought made it a kinda cool way of telling the story. -
Really? I actually found the dialogs between Buggy and Gaimon rather funny. Not that they were a masterpiece but the whole confrontation between those two came over better that way then in the manga.

I know there are fillers after the Arabasta Saga, but I want to skip them so that I can get into the Mock Town/Skypiea arc, the thing is, I want to continue from the episode where the big ship falls from the sky- which episode (# if possible) would that be? -
Aw man, I was hoping to see Ace's mini story (a whole drama centered around bad coffee has to amuse SOMEONE!)
