According to the AP episode guide it's called
"The Trial of Swamp! Chopper VS Gedatsu."
EDIT: Only a couple more episodes then TV Special 3.
-
So it is. i'll download this episode but i hate this fight (choppers a coward)
( i wanna see chopper say kokutei..Cross)
-
Holy crap that was fast!
Good week, 4 subbed episodes, and a new chapter. :)
-
I love the way Chopper delivers the attack. "KOKUTEI….CROSS!!"
-
Oh, man, they doesn´t have the torrent in their web only because of a mispelled word…
-
Holy shit was that fast! And the file even got sent immediately after I requested in on their IRC channels. Awesome.
-
That was…fast.
Extremely fast.
When was 171 released?
Wow, I wake up this morning and there is both 171 and 172 ready for me to download, happy days!
-
If they keep this up they will get to 219 soon and I wont have to read the manga all the way to 219.
-
i'm told by a certain someone who is high up in the k-f chain of command, that they only have the dvd episodes up til 195 (the end of the skypeia arc). hope they get > 196 before they reach 195… or else, it could be a loooooong wait before we get our next fix
-Edit-
I could be mistaken though, since i last asked about it a week ago
-
Can anyone put a link to the torrent wherever you get it?
-
erm… k-f pulled the plug on the current 172... apparently there was a spelling mistake... wait for 172v2 in a few hours (though it could be tomorrow)
-
yay, i can't wait for this to be uploaded… i'm sure the fight w/ gedatsu will be very entertaining... can't remember how it went in the manga...
man, KF is really working hard on these episodes! i'd rather wait for them than get the craptacular HK's to fill in that gap between now and ep. 219
-
What's the spelling mistake?
-
"These appear to be a homes built away from the city."
That "a" in there is why we all have to wait longer to watch - gah!
But yeah, gotta give KF credit for being on the ball

Er… that may be because of the little fact that the DVDs in Japan are only upto episode 195 -_-
-
@jackvance:
"These appear to be a homes built away from the city."
Subsequently, that line is nowhere in the whole episode. There is, however, something worthy of notice in the yellow text after the opening song.
-
Hm then I must have been misinformed.. I was too late to grab the v1 so I can't go look for it myself..
-
can someone tell me the link to bakaupdates please on where to get it?
I cant find it on google or anything. -

Chopper's not a coward. Like Usopp, he's hasn't had many times when he has experienced battle. But we see that, like Usopp, wins by tricking his enemy.
Side note question, How often are the dvd's released in Japan? I won't mind if and when KF catches up to the dvd's. It will mean more bandwidth a month for me for other subs. Anyway, great episode, we see Chopper grow as a uhh..person here, a fun battle.
-
That episode was fantastic.
Thanks to K-F.
-
That was fast =) , I hope they can keep this sort of thing going.
-
Cool! Thanks K-F=) Gedatsu's Jet Punch was wicked awesome!
-

Chopper amd Usopp are both afraid, but they don't back down if they really have to do it. That makes them uncowards.
Like Usopp, he hasn't had many times experiencing battle? What has that got to do with anything.
Like Usopp, he wins by tricking the enemy? I don't think so. Where does he trick his enemy? He's the one often ending up getting tricked.
-
Btw national anime has a direct download to KF eps as soon as they come out.. good speeds too. (same for gerusama eps) Downloading ep 172 now at 200 kB/s
-
^is it free?

Mr.4 and Miss Merryxmas where he turned them on each other.
-
He also tricked Chuu by stalling with a rubberband, covering him with alcohol and letting him get up close to get a good shot at setting him on fire. And a lot of what he did while fighting Luffy was trickery (he didn't win though). But I wouldn't say it's trickery so much as being a tactician and thinking on his feet, using whatever means necessary.
-
Also Chuu when he tricked him with the wine bottle..
-
That was a bit late….

and whats the link

Oh and such a great episode.. Skypiea is reaching the "cool phase" hehe.. the slowmo emotional shots of Chopper were pretty damn well-done!

I'm talking about Chopper here. See the context used.
-
Well, he did sort of trick Gedatsu by pulling off a shoe. :)
-
Luffy tricks his enemies by fighting.
-
Tricks by fighting? That doesn't make any sense.
The only time I can think of Luffy really tricking an opponent was his "Robo Ally" thing.
-
Luffy is the greatest trickster of them all.. he tricks everyone into thinking he is stupid, yet displays great wit when the time comes and the circumstances call for it.
-
Heh…yeah, sometimes I wonder if at least some of his dim-wittedness is an act. Odd how his personality was so different as a little kid. So was Zoro, and Sanji, actually.

I think Luffy is simply too carefree to care most of the time.. which makes him look kinda "slow".. only when he gets a slap in the face, like an opponent he can't beat, then his mental gears start working.. or something like that
-
I was kinda being sarcastic, since everyone was saying stuff about tricking the enemy, when every character can be seen as doing that to an enemy. Well, except Zoro.
-

i'd say, odd how the personality of nearly every human in the world was so different as a little kid.

The DVDs are released monthly but it's normally only 3 episodes per disc, and sometimes it drops down to only 2 episodes per disc. IIRC, the last couple of DVDs for the end of Skypeia are only 2 episodes dscs actually.
-
They used 2 per DVD because their 3 per DVD scheme left 4 episodes at the end, and they lose quality if they try to stick 4 on a dvd. So they do 2 dvds of 2.
