I was thinking the same thing this morning; I realized when I first came to Arlong Park forum and first translated the One Piece chapter, that was the first chapter of Water 7. o__O!! That's … long time and it's still running (semi-) same arc!

Depends on how long they are there. It would take what…? four days before the log would set from Skypiea and adapt to Jaya's pull. So it might be just a matter of good timing & luck, I think they'll be fine. Plus yeh! they could well indeed land an eternal pose while at the Lobby & or Impel Down(?)

The problem is… Eternal Pose to where? Remember that Eternal Poses will only point to a specific location. They won't change their pointer ever.

this is a real logistical question here. They need the log to point to the next island to go on, and there they're gonna be, surrounded by marines....and nohwere to go. Unless of course the fight with CP9 takes five days all by itself....

If I understand correctly, if it's only been 2 days, then the log pose is now still pointing at W7, and will stay that way until 7 days after they return to W7 again (if they return). So all they need to do is to go back to W7, wait 7 days (probably while waiting for a new ship), and then continue.
However, it also depends on how long is needed for the log to set in EL. And whether they'd be in a hurry to leave EL. The Marines would probably set out on a massive scale chase after this, which can take away the luxury of waiting time. Maybe they'll receive an eternal pose. Or worse, they can set sail without any direction… (Nami's ultimate test).

Also, how long does it take the pose to set to the closest island from Ennies Lobby? It's possible that the pose would set to an island other than water 7 from the point of Ennie's lobby, isn't it?

It doesn't look like Nami has even been wearing the Log Pose over the course of the whole day. She probably just left it back in the Water 7 hotel room with the rest of the crew's stuff. Also, Merry is back in Water 7, and she will make a return in the story in some manner (at least that's what I think). So the crew will return, and probably spend a few days waiting for the log to set and Franky's 200 million purchase to bring them a sweet new ship.
How will they manage to stay there without the government finding them? Well they are friends with Iceburg who can harbor them, and the government wight be a bit hesitant to push around a leader who knows they just tried to assassinate him.

Uh.. Excuse me… Why you don't want them to go back to Water 7? Where should they go? You expect Kokoro, Chimney, Gonbe, Pauile, Tailstone, Lulu and Franky Family to travel with them in a train? Or you expect them that they one enternal log and travel to another island? Where would Kokoro, Chimney, Gonbe, GL, FF go? Or you want the Straw Hat to get to an another island but how will they?
Forget it pal, they are going back to Water 7, they need to return the GL, FF, and Kokoro home, they still have their belongings in the hotal and they need to buy another ship and recuit an shipwright for the crew.
If you still don't buy it, look back when chapter 366 came out. People never expect the Straw-Hat to actully reach Enies Lobby, they expect something to stop the Puffing Tom so the Rocketman can catch up and fight on the train. You know something? That never happened and they reached Enies Lobby anyway.

Look man, the old lady mentioned other islands like gourmet island or whatever it's called and I hope they go to one of those, I'm not saying it's improbable that they'll go to water 7, I'm saying I don't want them to go there.

Dude, they have their stuff back in the hotel, they need to buy or build a ship yet Water 7 is the olny place they can do, they also need to to recuit an shipwright.
Maybe Oda will have the Straw Hats go to these island AFTER they finish their business in Water 7.

Joekido, I just like the concept of their shooting forward without looking back, I don't understand what your hostile reaction to what I want to happen is all about.
I'm really not the kind of person to actually go, "#$%@%^@##$^@{!!!!!!" and throw a fit just because Oda doesn't do what I want him to do, because I also am a fan of the idea that it's not my story, but rather his.
So how about you sit down and stfu, because it doesn't really matter what I want to happen and nothing you say will change what I want to happen.

It´s pretty easy, the Straw Hats have to go back to Water 7. All their precious belongings are still in the hotel where they went to after they left Going Merry.
I seriously don´t see them going on without Nami´s tangerine trees to name an example.

Well, I mentioned this before, but it seems no one noticed so I'll say it again.
Not only is all their stuff at the hotel, but Nami does not have the Log Pose with her. Without that, the crew isn't going very far so they will have return to Water 7.

No way are they going there with an eternal pose, let alone soon.I have my doubts that Mariejoa is in North Blue. True Norland says "Set course for Mariejoa, North Blue!!" but maybe Mariejoa, the holy land is the place from where on you can get to each single of the Blues.
After all they are still on the Grand Line and they can´t set a course that easily to North Blue, so they should set actually course to the exit. Just as everyone no matter if from North, South, East or West Blue is setting course for Reverse Mountain to enter the Grand Line.
I just think that a place that is the Holy Land and center of the WG, makes actually more sense to be placed somewhere where people from all of the blue´s have equal chances to get there.
Well, I just read that statement from chapter 291 as if it means to get to Mariejoa and take the exit to North Blue from there on. Otherwise they could actually directly set course to Lyvneel couldn´t they. <_<
